Help!! Need info on Beatle Promo Videos

I'm trying to prove this girl wrong that the Beatles didn't make the promo videos in the 80 (she's a moron even thinking that. She is saying the videos are clips compiled together from concerts and I told her to shut her yap and d/l a video and see for herself. I need a page that has an extensive description of the promos. Or someone who can explain them better.

That would be me. Ok, maybe I can help out. There WERE a few "videos" in the 80s that were made up of clips. I definitely remember one for "Love Me Do" and I think "I Want To Hold Your Hand" too. But there's no question, no doubt in the world, not at all, that The Beatles made promotional videos themselves. I've got a 2 hour tape full of them. I'll post more later...

They also made one for CBML.but they just pulled the clip from the movie.

The Beatles started the "video" era way back in 1966. My personal favorite is still the one for "Strawberry Fields Forever".

Actually, there were a few earlier than that. There's "Rain" and "Paperback Writer." Those are pretty good. And they also did a whole bunch of early television appearances where they just mimed to the real songs. Most of them are scripted to look like the videos of today, so I think they count too. Then there's a great one for "Something" that features all of the Beatle wives. I think that's my personal favorite.

Thanks guys for your help, but it appears to be no use to a hard headed girl who will not listen to reason. She insists that they are not from the 60s, that after mtv was created and music videos, they put them together for Beatles fans. I told her the more she argued the dumber she sounded lol. She could at least watch the promos. She also said "videos are made because people like the song" and I just started laughing and told her that they are made to sell a song. Then she changed the subject, which is obvious she knew I was right, and she was wrong but I won't be satisfied until she agrees I was right!

Go for it, This/That! She should understand that the promo films the Beatles made were way ahead of their time. MTV may have revolutionize videos, but the Beatles began it.
