Saw "KickAss" yesterday in theaters with a friend. Fairly well done. Even though the plot is kind of bizarre, it was creative and done in an interesting way, and some parts were pretty funny. But definitely not for the faint of heart - LOTS of graphic violence and language. There were a few families who went with their young kids. One couple brought what looked like their 5 and 8 year old, I'm not sure which part they didn't understand about the 18A warning!!

A couple of "Carry On" movies (Carry On Nurse, Carry On Henry, etc). I have a few more of them yet to watch. In total, I have about 30. Lots of laughs.

Kick-Ass. It was AWESOME. Different than other superhero movies, definitely liked it more than the Dark Knight AND Watchmen... which were my favorite before Kick-Ass.

Well, I guess it depends on what you see in it. If you concentrate on the positive (music, the way the movie is directed, even though I've always had a love-hate relationship with Scorcese, the camera is going around like crazy, which can give me a headache, I much prefer Kubrick's calmness, at least in 2001). I find the atmosphere of the film to be beautiful, and its highpoint. But there's also the negative (story really IS violent, even brutal, and the fact its based on a true story is even more disturbing)

My roommate and I celebrated Half-oween (that's our made-up holiday for when you feel like celebrating Halloween six months in advance) with Scoobie Doo The Movie (dumb but we had loads of wine) and The Blair Witch Project.
