Default Hey Bulldog?

So....... I heard "Hey Bulldog" for the first time on Saturday.... there are only a few more songs I haven't heard. I dunno... I like the song..... it sort of seems like a love song at times.... but it's probably just one of those non-sensical pyschadelic (I can't spell) songs.

What do you guys think?

This is one of my favourite songs, I love the "James Bond chords" and the main guitar riff, they really suck you in.

I'm not a piano player, but one day I learned the intro piano riff, and now, whenever I walk by a demo keyboard in a store, I play it:) I like the barks towards the end, and Paul says, "Don't look at ME man! I only had 10 children!" WOOF!

I love this song! I think it's cool the way John sings "In your sweaty hands"

I love Hey Bulldog, the piano is like Money (That's What I Want). I especially like the barking in the end, always fun to join in with that, lol

It's a great song. The lyrics are tinged with a sinister edge - "what makes you think you're something special when you smile...you think you know me but you haven't got a clue." In that respect it follows the style of "I Am the Walrus". The lyrics seem meaningless, by and large, but there's a streak of nastiness.

JUST the opening- then it's back to Chopsticks:) I haven't played the CD in a dog's age (d'oh!) but I think I remember that the barking is easier to hear in the right speaker...

The intro is very easy to play on a piano. From memory, here are the notes:

B B D B E B F F#
B B D B F# B F E

From the initial pounding of the Piano intro, you can tell that this is another John song. It's minor chord changes along with almost sinister lyrical word play and transitional riffs make this a classic song. From what I can gather, it's a song about someone who thinks that they're everything when in fact they haven't got a clue, and John is telling them so.

Originally it was going to be called Hey Bullfrog, but John changed the title after Paul started making dog noises at the end of one rehearsal.

To be completely childish, that song makes me happy, I giggle when I listen to it. :-D

I thought it was "Don't EAT me, Man! I wanna have GRAND-Children!" I think it is....

This is my favourite Beatles tune. Theres quite a lot of hidden stuff in it if you (over) listen carefully... like theres a ticking clock that rings like an alarm clock at the end. Now you'll all have to go and relisten! (You can hear it best on headphones, its quite buried)
