What happened to you, Whatever happened to me...
Do you ever wonder about people from your past who you no longer see. Do you wonder what they do now, if they are happy or sad?

Yes, I wonder about old friends often, One of my best friends from high school literally fell off the face of the earth! I found out through mutual friends (this was 15 years ago) that she was ashamed of what her life had become and did not want to see most old friends. Such a pity, as she was one of the best people I'd ever met and had come down on hard times. I really would like to be in touch with her some day. I've made efforts in the past to locate her, but as she has a common surname, it's been difficult.

I think about my high school friends a lot. I only see one or two of them once in a very great while. Sometimes I'll hear a bit of news about what's going on in their lives but it's obviously not the same as seeing them and talking to them every day at school.

I don't see anyone from high school--didn't have that much fun there--but I often wonder about my childhood friends who lived next door to us..The girl and I were best friends and would pretend to be sisters all the time! We and our brothers were going to be a singing group! They moved when we were twelve. We kept in touch for a few years, but except for seeing the mom at the store 20 years ago, we lost track of them.

Oh, constantly. I'm still at least sporadically in touch with the people who were the most important to me at earlier times in my life, but I'm always wondering what happened to other friends and acquaintences who've dissappeared. I wonder what happened to all of the people that Lynner and Asha and I encountered in the pen-pal circles in the 80's! Not enough that I usually try to locate them though.

all the time, I did reconnect with a wonderful friend I had in high school just recently, it's been 30 years since we wrote, I thought she had fallen off the face of the Earth too!

I got an email today from my best friend in high school. I'm lucky in that I have kept in touch with all the important people in my life. I'm not really curious about former aquaintences. The only people I really miss are the parents of my former b/f (he passed on). His parents are such loving people and I kept in touch with them for nearly 20 years. We lost touch, as they moved. Now I never see any flowers they used to leave on his stone, so I think they must be far out of the area. I hope they are okay.

I'd lived away from my hometown for 17 years and finally moved back in 2001. I'd planned on looking up old friends and searched first for the biggest inspiration in my life, my Junior High School music teacher, Mr. Folkerts. I'm not a musician by any means, but I love music more than almost anything, and I credit Mr. Folkerts for instilling in me the appreciation I have for music. I searched local directories for him and, failing there, then took my search to the Internet. I finally found a listing that said that he'd retired, moved to Florida and, in 1998, died of lung cancer. Broke my heart to read that.

Those addresses should be out of date now, Asha... Most of them, anyway!

I only had about five friends in high school, all of whom went far away to various, elite colleges, and I didn't keep it touch with any of them. I'd kind of like to know what they're up to, but not enough to e-mail or call any of them. That's what high school reunions are for.

I am constantly drifting away and losing contact with friends I used to have... and I'm not even out of high school yet! I've never moved, though, and am pretty sure most of them are still near by... but because of our own personal differences we just slowly stopped chatting and lost contact with each other. It's sad sometimes how you think you'll be friends with someone forever, and then next thing you know, they've gone from your life already!
