Default UnreleasedBeatles.com

Hi Folks,

This looks like a fine site to introduce myself. I'm the creator of a site called "unreleasedbeatles.com". The site is dedicated to releasing the full sound recordings of the greatest and most influential band ever. I have the most comprehensive collection of unreleased Beatles music anywhere (at least as far as I can tell!). What you see listed on my site is less than half of what I have in my collection. I'd like to ask the group: "What free download album would you like to see on the site?"

Bandwidth and disc space aren't too much of a concern at this point.

Thanks!

PS: Please don't ask me to sell bootlegs!

There's no need to flood these forums with the same post. I have closed all but this thread.

Understood. Wasn't sure if completely different groups of people were in each forum.

Having said that, this is a free site (ie: no financial gain) and I think a real benefit to the folks that frequent these groups.

Thanks!

It's true that not everyone visits every forum, but since this is the bootleg forum, your topic fits best here. Also one in the main forum called Abbey Road where more people will see it won't hurt, but to post it everywhere is to much. As example it's no point in posting a topic like this in the games forum.

The site is very good, finally a site with complete bootlegs. Thanks I am sure you will do many people a favour.

Hi Legs,

The list on my site is not nearly up to date. I put that together after my first or second month of collecting-- It's now been a year or two. I know, a short time, but I haven't heard of anything available that I don't already have. A more accurate list of what I have could be found in Doug Sulpy's guides, although there's been several somewhat imprtant items to "come out" since the last Sulpy guide (4th revision) and obviously, his list of the "cannon" is not going to include the new Yellow Dog BBC or Purple Chic's A/B road sessions (definitive Get Back).

Looking forward to chatting with you in the future!

Thanks John.

Your input has been heard/is appreciated.

The trick for me is to try to keep posted albums somewhat "mainstream unreleased" and I think anything White Album definitely fits the bill. After all, how many "Get Back Session Junkies" are out there?

After I did a review for Anthology Plus, which I still can reccoment even tho it has an outfake or two, I never got around reviewing this follow up. Hope you don't mind I do that here briefly.

The first disc is the best, and it gives the only new recording, the complete live "Long Tall Sally" from the Washington Coliseum.
The second disc has some outfakes, still not sure about the version of "Yesterday", listening to it I still think it's a fake where the strings just has been edited out. "Tomorrow Never Knows" "And Your Bird Can Sing", same as Anthology with the laughter edited out, and the created mix of "Free As A Bird" are also fakes. With once again tracks from the Kinfauns sessions, cd 2 is not really interesting, with nothing new .Tho the whole set borrows a lot of tracks from the Yellow Dog cd's "Unsurpassed Masters" "Control Room Monitor Mixes", in the case of "For No One", and "Acetates", where you could find the version of "A Day In The Life" for the first time with good quality, cd 1 at least is very listenable and a good colection of tracks.

Anyroad69 I've edited out the picture, cause I want to avoid a long loading time of the topic.

This isn't a picture forum ,and the photo isn't related to this topic.

Thanks Lizzy and all.

Some of the material posted has been available in other unreleased compilations before. The nature of the unreleased Beatles industry has been/can be extremely repetetive. There are still thousands of unlistened hours out there, but it's important to know where it's repetetive. Some of the labels would release as much as 99% previously available material, but add a 20 seconds of previously unreleased count ins, etc. That's why it's important to have a respected guide to help you differentiate between necessary and non necessary items. For every 1000 hours of unreleased music, there's probably about 5000 hours of unreleased releases. This ratio was especially true prior to the late nineties. In the late nineties, a tremendous amount of new unreleased material, and better quality, became available. Most folks that know what they're talking about agree-- we probably have everything that will/can be available now, save for a few items locked in EMI's vaults.

So, get used to the repetition, it goes along with the territory...

As far as "Anthology More"... Yes somewhat repetetive (extremely repeteive for me), but is a nice, listenable compilation that has somewhat broad appeal. For folks like us, in this forum it seems like a facile compilation, but for those previously unexposed to the pleasures of hearing masterpieces in progress or subtle variations on the Beatles tremendous creativity, it's a winner.

That's why I wanted to leave my post in the Abbey Road forum. I want to share/spread round the pleasures of these "forbidden fruits" to the previously unitiated.

I'm uploading "Acetates" and "Acetate Collection" today on unreleasedbeatles.com. I want to start with the agreed upon important basics from the cannon of unreleased Beatles works. I'd like to put up "Stars of 63" which is generally viewed as the Beatles best live show (Lennon's favorite, Belmo's favorite, etc.), but I'm leaning against it unless you folks tell me you'd like to see it this week.

Thanks!
