All the ideas in this thread are so creative! I have never gotten one but when I do I'm getting John's self portrait somewhere. Not something new or very creative but I want him to be my first tattoo so that would be best

I have another one on my foot it was my first tattoo and surprisingly didnt hurt at all. I'm sure as most of you already know the font is John Lennon. I'm going to get his self portrait on my other foot along with imagine. I say that'll be the end of my tattoos for awhile. :)

apple tat
I'm getting a tattoo of a plain green apple just below my waistline. This represents many things, but mostly the beatles! =D

This is great but I like what Jimmy Buffett says about tattoos. He calls them permanent memories of a temporary feeling.

I think if I ever got a tattoo, it would have to be Beatles and it would have to be John. I'm thinking something like 'imagine' or 'we all shine on' or 'you may say i'm a dreamer' wrapped around an ankle or something..
I really like the idea of 'ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE' spelled out in the shape of a heart but I'm awful at arty things.

That Yellow Submarine sleeve is amazing!
I've got just a few months to go by now, and I'm still trying to figure out what to get. I may go with my original idea (the Beatles nesting dolls) or just go with a granny smith apple like zandy. My best friend - who is basically my "big decision counselor" - keeps saying I will regret getting my Beatle nesting dolls and I should get something I know I'll never get sick of. And really, The Beatles are the only thing I know I'd want on my body forever and never get sick of.
I love this thread because I'm getting so many ideas, but I could still use some more.
