Default There\'s always a first time

Paul McCartney & Wings' album Band On The Run accomplished something that no other album had done in the American charts before. For the point, what did this album do while on the charts?

After the album dropped from the charts, it re-entered it after the Band On The Run single was released.

Several albums before Band On The Run have left the charts only to reappear later. Keep trying.

It went to #1 after it was already sliding down the chart.

Legs is correct. Band On The Run was the first album to top the charts, get bumped out of the #1 spot and return to #1. It first peaked on April 13, 1974 for one week. After the title track was released as a single, the album returned to #1 on June 8th. It stayed there for two weeks, dropped down again and regained the top spot a third time on July 6th, for one week.
