This was a good band, but I don't think his best.
Btw... Paul still sounded really good back during that time. He could still pull off a tune like "Fixing A Hole" with a relatively Beatle-ish vocal. I don't know if he could pull it off as smoothly today.

Sorry for the delayed response. I kind'a forget about threads from time to time...
In my humble opinion, I feel that the "Back To The Egg" line-up was a fine band. "The Wings Over America" line-up was also stellar.
