$34,000,000.00
Here in Canada, we have a lotto draw on and the grand prize is $34,000,000.00. Just wondering what people on here would do with that kind of winfall. I for one would party hearty after paying off all my debts.Of course I would be inviting a lot of friends to help me party. Who knows, maybe some of the people here

I'd buy everything listed under "The Beatles"
on ebay. And buy a 1949 Nash.

Re: $34,000,000.00
I've got a bunch of tickets for the lotto, Beatle_4, and I've been thinking all week what I'd do with the money!!! I think the first thing I'd do though would be make a pilgrammage to Liverpool and stay there until Paul tours Europe. Then I'd finally have enough money to buy a ticket to see him, and hopefully buy my way backstage!

Re: $34,000,000.00
The first thing I'd do is make sure that nobody knows about the win. This is imperative because otherwise you'll get thousands of shameless begging letters every week pleading for a few thousand dollars here or there.
Sneaky thing, but over here, any major lottery win is taxed if not spent after 10 years, so I'd work out a syndicate and "divide up the windfall". That way, the taxman can't touch it.
Nobody outside my friends and family would know. It saves a lot of hassle in the long run.

Re: $34,000,000.00
I'd pay off my car, buy a house so we could get out of this tiny apartment, send my son to an excellent private school and college, and wisely invest the rest of it so that we'd be able to live comfortably on the interest alone and leave a hefty sum for Jamie when we're gone.
We recently had a $250 million multi-state lottery here in the US, and lemme tell ya, I was nursing some fantasies...we won $5, sigh...but it's fun to dream.

I would pay off my credit cards, open an animal sanctuary, donate to the make a wish foundation, help out my friends and move to Hawaii.

Re: $34,000,000.00
Well I didn't win anything. I live in Ontario and the four winning tickets were bought in:
1 in Saskatchewan
1 in British columbia
2 in Quebec
Oh well. It's probably all for the best I didn't win. I might have turned into a real snob

Haha, but actually that's smart. As far as I know, the person who won in my province, Saskatchewan, still hasn't claimed their money, or hasn't told anyone about it for that very reason I'm sure. Either that or someone hasn't checked their ticket yet and is sitting on a gold mine!

Re: $34,000,000.00
I would donate some money to charity, travel the world, go to any and every concert that I want to go to, go on a huge shopping spree, pay for my college tuition, give my parents money for their retirement, and start my own retirement fund, have a weekly trip to the spa for some pampering and buy my little VW Bug that I've always wanted.
