When you say "het"-(above) I'm
assuming you mean get?- If so, and you're
looking to get a "New York City t-shirt
like John's famous one, I think if you go
down to the village and walk up and down 8th
street--(say, starting from Broadway via
the RR train for example) and walk east from
there, you're bound to find it--(or at least
some good leads..) --JC

Re: New York City T-Shirts
i have a t-shirt like that with Curley(of the 3 stooges)'s face with wire rims, replacing John's head.
goes over great at those 3 Stooges-Beatles Conventions.
I wish I had this shirt years ago when we would watch the stooges on video and play
Beatle music off the album.

nyuk, nyuk, nyuk.

Re: New York City T-Shirts
I have one of those Stooge T-shirts. Bought it at Beatlefest in Chicago. Felt a little guilty doing so, as if it was disrespectful of John, but then I figured John would probably have found it funny himself.
I dig the quote on the back of it: "You may say I'm a Stooge, but I'm not the only one"

Re: New York City T-Shirts
Those shirts (the NYC ones, not the Stooge ones, though I've seen those too) are available in a lot of t-shirt stores here in New York, but I've seen them elsewhere too, at flea markets and the like. I think you might be able to find one online too, though I don't know of any sites off the top of my head.
Hope this helps.

Re: New York City T-Shirts
Hmmmm... I'll keep my eyes peeled for them while I'm in NYC. (What size do you need???) I think it would be cool to have one, especially at this time!
What do you think, Susan? Should we get everyone outfitted with one???

Sure, FT...well, at any rate, you should be able to find one when you're here without too much trouble...try some of the t-shirt stores down in Greenwich Village!

Re: New York City T-Shirts
Not too expensive, FT...probably between $18-$25, depending on where you look for it...like, I wouldn't buy it in a gift shop in Times Square, you know?

Re: New York City T-Shirts
I would love to have that shirt too...
Speaking of t-shirts - one of the kids I work with was wearing a t-shirt with a picture of Paul (AHDN era) on it (his wise father is a huge Beatles fan)... One of the other 7th Grade Boys said, "Wow, that looks like the guy from Wings!" The other guy said, "Duh, it's Paul McCartney... You know, from the Beatles?" To which the other responded in awe, "You mean he was in another band before Wings? No way..."
I thought it was really funny, and almost died laughing.

Gosh, it's scary that some kids today are so completely clueless...you'd think that the Beatles' musical legacy is such that even if kids don't particularly like them, they at least know who they are...I mean, you see plenty of kids at Beatlefest! And my son is only three, and HE knows who they are...it's kinda sad, really!
