he's finaly stopped useing now too and i'm proud of him. We do still smoke pot (we live in a rec legal state) and occasinal hallucingenics (mainy acid and mushrooms when. though those are hard to come by where we are) off the hard stuff which unfortunetly is easy to find where i live. my only addiction now is caffine. we are actually going on dates again the other week we went to the zoo.

Had almost forgotten about this poor forlorn forum, but decided to check in again, and then saw you were still posting. Glad to see things are working out, and hope they continue to do so. Keep up the posting, and ignore those bizarre advertising plugs. Shooo, shooooo........................., is right, lol

Edit: So sorry I did not see your PM some time ago. I was not ignoring you. Don't know why I did not get a notice about it. And the site did not automatically log me back in when i got here this time. I will reply to your PM.

So despite us cleaning our cats litter box regularly our new neighbors downstairs neighbors have complained that while there was no smell when they began their move in it was "almost vomited" bad this morning when they came to finish their move in. Seems highly unlikely it went from no smell to "almost vomit" is 24 hours. Only thing we did was move the litter box away from there I sit as they were tracking litter all over my seat after useing it. Our one cat doesn't always bury his business all that well because he has poor eye sight. He'll paw at the litter or the side of the litter box thinking he's burring it but not actually. Suppose we can add baking soda to it as well. We aren't allowed candles or insence to take care of any generic animal smell. Thing is we've had people over and no one has said anything about a cat piss smell. There have been times the neighbor below the one that complained will sometimes leave her trash bag infront of her door. Not for a few "get to it in a bit" hours but for a day or so. Which she did yesterday...when the new people were moving in.

We scrubbed both the day we got the complaint and
The next day before the property manager came for an inspection. My husband also mixed a good deal of baking soda into the litter box. We had also wiped stuff down with lemon scented clorox wipes.

Despite this when the property manager came for inspection she barely stepped in the door when she claimed "oh I can definitely smell it" (referring to the supposed cat urine smell).
She had revealed that the new tenants also have a cat. Cats tend to stress spray. Moving would be something that would stress a cat. It's also a way they make sure others know that "this is MY territory now"

There have been times in the past we have had false issues. The previous tenants I the unit below us had a dog that did indeed bark howeveri don't recal hardly seeing it. Just hear it bark when going down stairs.Though we were questioned if we had a dog. When we mentioned we do not and did not have a dog. We were told " you've been seen walking a brown pit bull looking dog" the brown pit bull belongs to the woman on the first floor. However she and I do not look a like. It wasn't her dog I'd here as her dog is quiet.

There was also the time after a light fixture replacement that was not properly installed by maintenance fell on my husband's head where the property manager claimed there was a smell. We cleaned even scrubbing the litter box It's self.she had tried to claim it "got worse" until we had to say we weren't going to sue about the light fixture and concussion. In her email where we mentioned NOT seeing she had even said "beat me to the punch"

so kinda negelcted on updating this. ended up moving out into a different apartment. Had to stay in a motel for two weeks until they got our unit ready, our cats stayed with us. you know what even in a small motel room the cat litter smell was barely noticeable. (only noticed when scooping)

my husband and I can already tell this apartment is a lot better than our previous one. The stair well is well mentained, the locks don't stick. Even just has a better vibe. When I picked up the keys for our previous place it had an off feeling. Sadly we didn't have much choice to move in we had already done the security deposit and such plus at the time we were homeless so we coudn't be picky.

soberity is going well, husband got a perscription so he can take care of his mentel health legitamly now. He'll be starting a job soon which required a drug test. came up clean for everything (excluding perscriptions obviously)

Settled into our new apartment and, yeah it'd definitely better than our old place. My husband almost had a job but place that had to clear him for work (union job) didn't give him all the paperwork work. So that fell through. The surch continues. Mostly happy. However I have received news from my mother that my dad's dementia is progressing fast. That this might be the last holiday season that he'll be able to remember my husband and I. I've always considered my dad the better parent . So it has been hard on me.
