songs you dislike (or hate)
Horse With No Name by America - Just an inane song that goes nowhere.
If I Had A Million Dollars by Baarenaked Ladie. Most horrible lyrics I ever heard. My blood actually boils listening to the steaming piece o' crap. The melody is cloying and annoying too.

Re: songs you dislike (or hate)
I have to admit... the song I hate more in the world is "Lady Madonna", I just don't know why but it makes me mad and violent!
Then there're a lot of songs I don't like... you know those silly songs of "Outkast" or "Black Eyed Peas", that sort of music...

Re: songs you dislike (or hate)
"going to the chapel and were gonna get married".I'm not sure if thats the name or who it's by. it was out in the early-mid 60's. I hated it as a little kid when it was out and dislike it even more now.

Re: songs you dislike (or hate)
Uh... what a headache. Of those so-called 'classics' (I'll leave the obvious Britney/Outkast/Eminem tunes out of this thread or otherwise it will get uglier) I really hate "American Pie" by Don McLean. Or that song about never marrying a railroad man, who sang that one?

Re: songs you dislike (or hate)
Ugh, Matt, I hear you about If I Had A Million Dollars... what a waste of airtime. It used to be played so much, I thought it always sounded so stupid.
Oh, and 'Believe' by Cher drives me crazy. I'm not sure why, but I can't stand any of her most recent songs, especially that one!

This is the only song that I would use a word as strong as 'hate' for. It has always made me just gag until I turn it off.

Yes, if I hear Hotel California one more time I'm going to....
(not that I think it's a particularly terrible song but it rubs me the wrong way and is way overplayed and I'm sick of hearing it)

Re: songs you dislike (or hate)
My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion
anything by NSync, Justin Timberfake, Britney Spears, Christina Diarrhea
American Pie by Don McLean (too long and boring for my taste)
I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston (I like Dolly's better)
anything by Pink Floyd (except for We Need No Education and the song about Money, those I can bear)
And surprise surprise I hate one Fleetwood Mac song: Sara
Those are the top ones that annoy the crap out of me and send no-good shivers in my spine.

"When You Say", "Family Man", "Empire State", "When I See You Again"... those I can understand... but "Sara"?
Matter of taste I suppose.

Re: songs you dislike (or hate)
My most hated song would have to be "Blinded By The Light" written by Springsteen but recorded (and OVERPLAYED) by Manfred Mann. If makes no sense whatsoever to me.

Re: songs you dislike (or hate)
Sussudio will go down in the annals of time as the worst song ever recorded. Phil Collins needed a hit but My Sweet Lord that was a dumb song.
I Will Remember You by Sara McLachlan is not very far behind Sussudio for being a very dopey song. Bored me to tears when I first heard it. I couldn't wait for the song to be over.

Blinded by the light/ wrapped up like a deuce/ Another runner in the night...
I agree Manfred Mann destroyed the song. Way too artsy production on it. Bruce Springsteen did it in a simpler arrangement and the song was much better for it.
