Default The Beatles Invade VH1 Classic

From VH1.com:

The Fab Four sparked the British Invasion when they hit American shores in 1964 and nearly half a century later they’re taking over VH1 Classic in “The Beatles Shop On VH1 Classic,” set to air August 9 at 9PM EST and August 10 at 3AM and 5PM EST.

This on-air extravaganza will allow fans to pre-order what will surely be two of the year’s most coveted releases in music and gaming, including The Beatles: Rock Band and the entire digitally re-mastered Beatles CD catalogue. Both items will be released on Sept. 9 and will most likely fly off of store shelves.

Watch the trailer for the new Rock Band to find out why it’s being called “revolutionary,” become a fan of The Beatles: Rock Band on Facebook, follow The Beatles: Rock Band on Twitter, and read a list of all Beatles-related goodies that will be available for purchase after the jump.

For Sale on August 9:

I'll be sure to watch it, even though I won't be buying anything.

Same here. I'm already buying all the game stuff and the remasters. No way I can afford the extras. Still cool to see all the Beatlemania going on as we approach 9/9/09!

I can't afford any of it! I thought my nephew was going to let me hang on to his xbox 360 while he's off at boot camp but being the jerk that he is, he won't.

Yeah I cant either!

So is this actually gonna be a real special, or a glorified infomercial? In other words, if I act now, will they double my order for free?

The way it's been described (and I saw a commercial for it a few days ago) that would seem to make more sense. If I remember maybe I'll watch a few minutes of it tonight just to see what it is, exactly.

Anyone watching? They are playing the music, are these the remastered tracks? Can't really tell.

The guy in the black shirt and suit kind of bugged me.

I could not afford the spectacular array of items they were selling.

The cover "band" - were they lip synching with the Beatles' computerized images? Those guys did not actually LOOK like they were playing those guitars (only 2 of the guys had guitars; there was no 3rd guitarist, just a front man and a chunky cushion faced woman who either sang or lip synched with the guys). I did not get the point of the woman's presence; I thought the idea was to simulate the Beatles' line-up as a quartet without a 5th person. Maybe she was playing the role of a drumless Pete?

I couldn't afford it either. I thought the "band" was awful.

I'm pretty sure that the band that was on there is the traveling Harmonix band that goes around the nation demonstrating the Beatles Rock Band at video game conventions.

The two guitar bundle that was presented on QVC/VH1 Classic was a special bundle made available for that show.

In anticipation that "The Beatles Rock Band" full bundle (consisting of TB:RB game software, a wireless Hofner bass styled controller, a wireless Ludwig "Beatles"-branded drums, a wireless microphone, & unspecified special content) would sell out of their allotted quantity for the show, a bundle that includes TB:RB game software, two Rock Band wireless guitar controllers, a wired microphone, and what appears to be a wired Rock Band 1 drum set was created to help meet the demand for a game bundle for "The Beatles Rock Band" and is only available from the QVC/VH1 Classic shows.

Don't be fooled, the special QVC bundle is of lesser quality that the real bundle that will be made available everywhere else on 9/9/09 and it will not come with any of the Beatles branded instrument controllers.
