Default If they get around to releasing a Ringo "Anthology"

The track listing could be...

1. Stormy Weather
2. Just a dream
3. One way love affaire
4. She's so in love
5. Don't be cruel
6. Everyone wins
7. Sometimes
8. Good news
9. Mr. Double-it-up
10. Everyday
11. Drift away (Steven Tyler version)
12 + ... any songs from that aborted 1987, Chips Moman produced, album !
-------------------------------------

1. 1969 outake from the "Sentimental Journey" sessions, I never understood why they left THAT ONE off, as I've always liked more than of the songs that DID make it onto that album.

2. B side of a "Ringo the 4th" single... not a fantastic song, but at least a bit better than most of the songs that he DID put on the album.

3. & 4. Unreleased songs (1978), "She's so in love" is not so bad, but "One way love affaire" is a really good one, one of Ringo's nicest vocals !

5. & 6. B sides from "Time takes time" singles, "Don't be cruel" is a fun an "old time cover" as Ringo's ever done and "Everyone wins" is one of Ringo's best songs !

7., 8., 9. & 10. All B sides, or japanese release, of the "Vertical Man" album, "Sometines" and "Everyday" are forgetable... where as "Good news" and, even more so, "Mr. Double it up" are as fun and as good a pair of songs as Ringo did on that album !

10.... "Wish I knew then, what I know now" with Bob Dylan comes leaping to mind...

These are known from bootlegs, and most of them are really interesting. Perhaps some things from Scouse the Mouse could be there as well, for the sake of entertainment.

There are reports of aborted songs from Time Takes Time; apparently an abandoned McCartney/Starkey tune ("Angel in Disguise"), a Phil Picket song ("Love Is Going to Get You"), and "Call Me" by Jeff Lynne. Perhaps some of the bonus songs from the original Stop and Smell the Roses, or outtakes from the other albums, that are not so well-known, would be interesting.

A Rarities album should have really rare, unheard stuff, if they really want hardcore (bootleg) fans to buy it.

I still love "You Never Know" from the Curly Sue soundtrack. I wish it was on SOMETHING besides the "All Dried Up'' bootleg and the hard to find (and otherwise useless) soundtrack. I think it's one of Ringo's best.** Enjoy.

** THIS IS JUST MY OPINION AND NOT INTENDED TO OFFEND ANYONE WHO IS A PART OF/VISITING THIS SITE. YOU HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO THINK THAT IT IS NOT ONE OF RINGO STARR'S BEST SONGS. PLEASE DON'T HIT ME.
