Default Top Ten Rock and Roll Films Ever

I think this list actually got it pretty right, compared to some others we've seen lately (a-HEM! )

Top Ten Rock Films Ever

10. Hedwig and the Angry Inch
9. Decline of the Western Civilization, Parts I and II
8. Almost Famous
7. Stop Making Sense
6. Woodstock
5. Gimme Shelter
4. The Last Waltz
3. Don't Look Back
2. This is Spinal Tap
1. A Hard Day's Night

Sounds about right. At least this time someone got the right group in number 1.

How about Led Zeppelin's "The Song Remains the Same"? Or "Heavy Metal"?

Or, dare I say it, "Help!"

One of my favorite rock films is 'The Concert For Bangledesh'(1971). It was the first rock benefit concert. One of my favorite things in the film is George in that white suit. I'm not a big Dylan fan but his performance (and also Leon Russell) were the best that I have ever seen them. Also performing were Ringo, Eric Clapton, Badfinger, Billy Preston, Klause Voorman and Jim Keltner. It is a hard dvd to find. I got my copy on e-bay for $28 from a person in Brazil. I tried to buy it at Amazon but they said it was 'out of stock'. This would be a great film to re-release.
I also agree that 'Help' should be on the list.

I wonder if they categorize rock films (AHDN) vs. concert films (Bangladesh).

Well, at least one of the Beatles films made the list... I haven't seen any of the others.

What a blinkered list... *Where's 'The Harder They Come'? Or 'Jazz On a Summer's Day'?
