A good title would be "My Long & Winding Road." How about "Getting Back to Where I Once Belonged?"

Beatles Gear by Andy Babuik.

I have the first edition and may have to get the 2nd edition at the next NY Fest.

Also on the list:
Sam Leach's: Birth of The Beatles

Worst Beatle book: the only book that is out there about Ringo. Smug, self-centered and elitist, IMHO.

Isn't it wonderful that we have so many great songs and books to cozy ourselves up to the lads? :)

You know it!

I met Andy at a Fest a few years ago and he is a very interested and very scholarly person.

Amazing... as I read over all those book titles I realize just how many I've read over the years.

It's wonderful to keep connected to them in the written word, film, photos, AND music.

What's not to love? :)

i'll second this- a very insightful, loving analysis of of the beatles dynamic and music, from one of the few people who've heard some of the abbey road recordings tapes.

Soon I'm finished my absolute favorite.
Peter Brown´s "The love you make - An insider´s story of The Beatles".

Has anyone else here read it, and what do you think?

Not a fan, I'm afraid... it's very gossipy... some interesting insights contained, but the overall tone is pretty condescending, I thought... everyone seems "pathetic" in Brown's view... except himself of course.... but again, he does have some interesting "inside" observations....

I would have to go with Schaffner's "Beatles Forever" as well. My late and proudly unhip father checked it out of the library for me and it basically guided my conversion. I then procured my own copy which eventually fell apart like the previous poster's. I guess I need a new one...

Anyway, it may not be the best overall, but it is concise without being simplified and you understand their essence.

Is there any interesting and good books written about Brian Epstein, then?
I think he is a man to be curious about too.

For me it's not a book but rather a series of books. I like the Bruce Spizer books on the history of the Beatles' albums.

-The Beatles Records on Vee-Jay
-The Beatles' Story on Capitol Records - Part One: The Singles
-The Beatles' Story on Capitol Records - Part Two: The Albums
-The Beatles on Apple Records
-The Beatles Solo on Apple Records
-The Beatles Are Coming!
-The Beatles Swan Song - She Loves You and Other Records
