Event is from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. I invite everyone reading this to come on down and PAR-TAY with us!! For more information, please visit their website at http://members.cox.net/beatlefair/ Be there or be L7!!

Hi, Dave. This is a discussion group about the Beatles; it states in our rules (which were on the registration page) that you shouldn't register here simply to advertise something. We hope you intend in participate in the rest of the forum. (And if you then want to tell us of an upcoming event, you can put it in your sig -- it's less intrusive that way.)

Sorry if I came on too strong there, Dave; we've had problems with spammers before. Glad to know you plan to become part of our Beatlelinks family, and hope there are no hard feelings on your side either. Welcome to Beatlelinks.
(BTW, I'm a dudette. No offense taken, though.)

Re: Beatle Fair 2002
Dave is a verry cool guy and a good friend of mine. I invited him here. I've been gushing about this place ever since I signed up. I just invited someone else. Hope you guys don't mind . Everyone here is so nice and more importantly there's no animosity. It's seems like family here (a rather large one at that!) and everyone seems to support each other's views and comments. No one gets too snippy. The grass is greener on the other side, in this case. You'll love it here Dave. BTW, HI & WELCOME!

Oh, did the Fab Four play at Beatle Fair last year? I'm just wondering if I am thinking of the right Beatle thing...

Re: Beatle Fair 2002
Beatle Fair was alot of fun. This was actually my first time going to one of these, even though I think this was the 6th or 7th one. I've always missed going for one stupid reason or another. But since it looks like West Coast Beatlefests are history now, thanks to Beatles czar Mark Lapidos, I made a point to finally go this year.
I thought it was a very well put together show, and actually there was a better turn out than I expected! The bands they had there (Rockola and the OffBeats) were AWESOME!! They had a mini pub there called the "Honey Pie Pub" (my friend Nancy suggested that they should have called it the " Wild Honey Pie Pub"!!) and there was a guy who looked just like John reading poems from "In His Own Write" up on the stage. Way cool!! George's sister Louise Harrison was there, as well as Gordon Waller from Peter and Gordon. Everyone seemed to be having a grand ol' time and there were some interesting items for sale in the dealers' room. For the $12 admission price (WAY CHEAPER than Beatlefest, BTW!!) ya couldn't have beat it with a stick!!
For those of you on the West Coast who couldn't make it this year, I would kindly suggest that you try to make it next year! I think you'd be pleasantly surprised and glad that you did!! After all, I don't think that Mr. Lapidos is gonna be bringing his Beatlefest entourage to Los Angeles again anytime soon!!
And on a personal note, it was GREAT seeing you and Veronica again this weekend, Nancy!! Who loves ya, baby!!
