Not sure if people've done this in the past, so sorry if they have.
You know you're obsessed with the beatles when...
1. Your standard greeting to everyone is "Hey-hey-hey-hey!"
2. Your sons are named John, Paul, George, and Ringo.
3. Your daughters are named Linda, Patti, etc.
4. You refer to your hammer as "Maxwell's Silver Hammer"
5. You have a Beatles cut
6. You married someone named John Paul etc. Or Linda, Patti etc.

- You automatically draw comparisons between things your friends do and things that happen to the Beatles... and it always starts like this: "That reminds me of the time John said..."
- You've requested that your phone number end in "909"
- You've had the words "Welcome to Strawberry Fields" carved into wood and have had it placed over your front door
- You've successfully managed to scare off hordes of trick-or-treaters on Halloween by a) playing "Revolution 9" at the front door or b) dressing up as your favourite Beatle - for the fifth year in a row

-You use Beatle songs as lullabies.

-The first songs you learn to play by ear are Beatle songs.

-You have Beatle e-mail.

-When you hear a year like 1964, you reference it with the Beatles, e.g. "that was when the Beatles came to America," "that's when the Beatles were on the Sullivan show."

-You teach kids to identify each Beatle by having pix of the Fabs out in plain view.

-You have people sing Beatle songs on the telephone to you.

-Whenever the word "Beatle" or mention of the Fabs in any way, shape and form comes up, all eyes turn towards you.

-You sing Beatle songs in public. You do this proudly.

-When the Anthology tapes were available at the library, the librarian had to limit the number of times you checked them out. The same held true at Blockbuster Videos.

-Your idea of good gifts are Beatle themed gifts. You get the Beatles' Anthology for Christmas 2000 and some George Harrison books for Christmas 2002 (Harrison, Before He Was Fab, I Me Mine ) and you can't even remember what else you got.

-When you were little, you told your friend to name her dog Ringo.

-You gave your dolls Beatle haircuts when you were little.

-You have some duplicate Beatle CDs for in the car. Talk about your emergency supply.

a pain I know all too well, hehehe... especially if something bad is said about the band, or any one of its members, everyone expects you to automatically fly off the handle...

Oh, and singing along to Beatles songs in public places (shops etc.) and tuning out everything else, which makes you seem totally spaced and mad, hehe.

When you start using Beatle songs on your answering machine/phonemail message (like I did in college on my school phonemail account):

No Reply--"I tried to telephone, they said you were not home..." Yes, that's right--this is PhoneMail. Leave me a message!

Drive My Car--Leave me a message after the beep. "Beep beep, beep beep, yeah!"

Whenever someone mentions a Beatle lyric unintentionally, you finish their sentence by singing the rest of it under your breath

Whenever a CD gets a slight scratch you freak out so badly that you have to go to the CD store to buy another one IMMEDIATLEY

You have a Volkswagon Beetle [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img] (Heh, I wish)

You are forever writing things on the bathroom wall or any other writable surface "BEATLES4EVER!" in permanent marker

You think the Two Virgins cover is "cute"

You suddenly speak in a Liverpool accent

You call the Beatles Anthology book your 'Beatle Bible"

Whne you're all done getting all of the CDs, you ignore your parent's protests and go get the LPs. that explains why I have four different SGT Peppers [img]images/icons/wink.gif[/img]

When you get a new car and decide you finally have a vehicle worthy of that personalized license plate you've always wanted -- and so your license plate says "FAB4FANS"!

When you have been playing Beatles songs for your four year old child for nearly FIVE years (counting his time in the womb), and he actually has been so brainwashed...er...educated...that he actually asks for them.

When Beatles songs seem to miraculously come over the audio system in every single store or mall or public place you walk into -- and you notice within two notes and start humming or singing along.

When you know more about John Lennon than you do about some people to whom you are related -- and you think that's just fine!

When you drive an extra 4 hours on to Cleveland AFTER an 8 hour drive to Buffalo just so you can go to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame to see the John Lennon exhibit because you HAVE to get close to stuff that belonged to him!

When you spend a lot of time having lunch in one of John and Yoko's favorite restaurants -- sitting at "their" table -- and the people who work there are starting to recognize you...

I could go on...maybe I'd better stop here before I show the TOTAL depth of my obsession! [img]images/icons/wink.gif[/img]

if you're talking about Cafe La Fortuna (sp?), my husband and I stopped there while we were in NY and it felt like John's presence was everywhere. Like I'd walked right into his life. We were going to eat there, but I felt like I was going to turn around and see him or something ( [img]images/icons/wink.gif[/img] )so we left. And I always take my Beatle friends there when they come to NYC...the food's good, too, and not expensive. What more could you ask for?!

(BTW, the proprietor says that Yoko still comes in for cappucino every so often...I've never seen her there, though. Not YET, anyway! I wouldn't be surprised if I did eventually, though.)
