Happy Summer!
It's August and the weather is sweltering (at least it is here in New York!), so what better way to spend a hot summer day than by staying indoors in the air conditioning and enjoying the new issue of Rooftop Sessions, the monthly e-zine featuring the finest in Beatles-related fiction! We have a jam-packed issue for you this month, with six stories (including two new authors, one of whom is a Contest Winner) and a new article in our "Write Thinking" section!
First, an announcement:
I will be a guest at the Chicago Beatlefest, August 16-18 at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare. I will be moderating two fan fiction discussion panels on Saturday and Sunday, as well as participating in a poetry reading session on Sunday evening. I will be joined by Rooftop Sessions Authors James Ryan (I Read The News Today, Want of a Nail, Games for May) and Mary Spollen (The Shelly series), as well as Sandra Ulbrich (the Lennon's Line series), Tina Kukla (The Beatles Live at 12 Cold Creek Street) and Sharon Richards (Drop Forged Lennon). Check your schedules upon arrival for the exact time and place of the panels (probably the Conference Center on the Mezzanine Level), and do stop by the London Room on the lower level to say hello at our table! We will have copies of both volumes of the Rooftop Sessions Fiction Digest available for purchase at a special Beatlefest price, as well as some special new poetry booklets!
