Yes it is bad, you naughty girl! Only joking... but, seriously, you are missing something very special. Pee-wee Herman (Paul Reubens) is a comedy legend.

Pee-Wee was this dude who had a kiddie show, Pee-Wee's Playhouse. He had an assortment of weird characters and he talked in a kiddie-like falsetto. His most famous line was the schoolyard insult, "I know you are, but what am I?"
He had a talking chair and some really weird co-stars. Paul Rubens played and played up the part of his alter ego, Pee-Wee and he even starred in some Pee-Wee movies.

Actually, it was at the Nokia Theater in downtown L.A. We went together on Feb. 7th.
And, yes...it was a great night. We had fun together.

In 1991, Pee-Wee was charged with playing with his pee-wee in an adult theater. Paul Rubens disputes the claim.

At the time the story broke, Cosby said that Pee-Wee had not hurt or involved any children, so why cancel his show and his products? Poor Pee-Wee. You can't take the man's humor and talent away.

Ahhh, I see. You are mysteriously referring to Lyndon Baines Johnson, a former American president. Top marks for you, BB!

Pee-wee look-a-likes...
I think Ray Davies must have approved of Mr. Herman's kinky red bow-tie / grey suit combo!

The late Senator Paul Simon always wore a bow tie. He may have inspired Pee-Wee!

I LOVE both of these films! Did you enjoy 'Pee-wee's Big Adventure'? Do you have a favourite part?
If you get the chance, I can highly recommend 'Big Top Pee-wee' to you because, as the sequel to 'Pee-wee's Big Adventure', it is also a must-see classic. And it even has a talking pig!

It's so ironic....Bill Cosby defended Pee Wee when Pee Wee was charged with playing with his pee wee in an X-rated theater. That was good. Here is the kicker - Cosby has turned out to be the opposite of his TV persona. In every single show Cosby has starred in, I Spy; The Bill Cosby Show; Fat Albert & the Cosby Kids; The Cosby Show he successfully plays the part of a kind and responsible person. We have sadly learned otherwise.
