I just got an email from Acclaim Press. Lou's book is coming out in August!

I just called Acclaim Press in re Lou's book. The gentleman I spoke with said her book has gone to press and is expected to hit online and bookstores by late August.

Many people have preordered it.

I'm not a diehard like most on this forum may be, but I have always liked their tunes, and find their lives interesting. I hope the book comes to libraries soon after hitting the bookstores. I'm sure Louise will be doing many interviews pertaining to the book in a few weeks.

I have the book and love it.

Since the Globe is a tabloid, I'll take this article with a grain of salt, but it did state Louise was cut out of the will the year after her brother's death. Since the info was new to me, I thought it happened recently. Either way, that is sad. For anyone that has her new book, what interesting unknown facts does she state in her memoir?

Harold Sr and Louise married in 1931, just 3 months before Lou joined them for tea

Lou said Louise was not taught about the birth process and did not know how her first little Harrison would leave her body

Lou and Harry were baptized together and Lou, then closing in on 3 still remembers the experience

Lou named Peter

Lou, 9 years older than Peter loved teaching him to talk and enjoyed the same experience with George

Louise reportedly had a comparatively easy delivery of her 10-lb little Harrison

In 1942-43 Lou and Lil Harold were sent to Wales by train and stayed with families there during the Evacuation

Harold Sr named George when their youngest little Harrison was a day old

Lou won a scholarship to attend high school

Lou tested with an IQ of 168

Lou talks about their Gran Harrison, their paternal grandmother and their Nan French. Louise had 4 brothers, John Jr., Jimmy, George and Eddy plus two sisters. The picture of the French brothers is an eye opener - George bears a strong resemblance to all of those men. Harold gave George his eyes, ears and later on his beautiful wavy hair, but George bears a striking resemblance to his maternal uncles. You will see George's face and mannerisms in his uncles.

There is a lovely picture of Harold and Louise standing in front of a castle in Wales with their 2 younger sons, then about 6 and 9. You will see George in Louise French's face. The bulk of his beauty came from her and the men in the French family.
