What other album does Driving Rain remind you off?

I've been listening to it constantly since the day it came out. I have it on my stereo at home and in my car when I'm out. I'm listening to it now. I keep thinking how much it reminds me of the White Album. What do you guys think?

I'm not sure where I would rank it. More time needs to pass before I can gain perspective, but I feel that it will probably be in my top seven favorite Macca albums, maybe even top five. The boy still has it!

It really does sound "Not like" past stuff. Kind of "Edgy Rock". Creative as usual,but I can't quite describe the change. Great to hear new stuff from any of the "Boys", and it gets a big "thumbs-up"....LOVE it!!!!
I give it a "9"....good tunes and easy to dance to!!

Yes, exactly my thought, it has in itself the acoustics pieces, and also the rocking ones... to quote, Blackbird Singing and Helter Skelter... in fact his experimentalisn, which, imho, has started with I just seen a face, has contibued for 40 years, since Help to Driving Rain... way to go, Paul!

As far as the "sound" is concerned, it reminds me of "Run Devil Run"...

P.S.: My favorite Macca tune of 2001 is still

I disagree. Paul has done edgy rock before countless times...just a few good examples that come to mind are the harder rocking tracks off Back To The Egg, Off The Ground, and Venus and Mars.

Driving Rain reminds me most of Back To The Egg. Or should I say, a cross between Back To The Egg and Off The Ground.
