Dark Horse versus Dark Hoarse
For those how have/know the bootleg with George on accoustic doing Dark Horse without his hoarse voice, which versions acctually do you prefer.
The nice thing about the non-hoarse is that it a little like the Miss O'dell, Deep Blue tracks which we sometimes think George did to little of, and ofcourse the voice.
But, the album version is more up-tempo and has the whole band added.
I was playing both just now and I can not make up my mind yet, so help me out.

Re: Dark Horse versus Dark Hoarse
As you know I don't have this bootleg. But I have often thought how I would like to hear him do those songs with a healthy voice. I don't enjoy that album because I feel tense and in pain on his account when I listen to it. Everything about it just makes me remember what a difficult period it was in his life.

Re: Dark Horse versus Dark Hoarse
I prefer the album version. The hoarse gives the song a 'different' air, whilst the other sounds just like what it is... a demo. Plus I like the flutes.

Re: Dark Horse versus Dark Hoarse
I prefer the alternate version. The one that DOES NOT sound like Harri is about to cough up some blood...or his lunch...
P.S.: Nice tittle FPSHOT !

Re: Dark Horse versus Dark Hoarse
I prefer the demo - George should re-record the vocal tracks on the whole album, have it re-mixed and re-issue it.

Re: Dark Horse versus Dark Hoarse
I prefer the album version. It is faster and ofcourse finished. The voice, oh well, it belongs to the HarHistory.
On the demo I find the singing so uninspired, like 'he has to' or is reading the words from a paper.
40. Can you get the song via e-mail. Then I can send it to you.

Um, I think I can. I have a Yahoo address on my profile, but can you send it to chiefwiggum1@hotmail instead? I've already used up too much of my Yahoo space. And thanks, FP.

Re: Dark Horse versus Dark Hoarse
I haven't heard the hoarse-less version, but I saw him twice on the Dark Horse tour and he sure sounded froggy. Great concerts, though; I wouldn't have missed them for the world. And for all of those who care, i.e. FPSHOT, 911 really affected me and I've changed a lot since then. Hope I can still contribute and meet new friends.

Hi Jack, mate, good to see you posting again. I do wish I had seen those US shows as well.

Jack, I understand your feelings about Sept 11 from our various e-mails since, but other than what we discuss private, and I have sent you a separate e-mail just now, I am sure that you can find friends here too. Not only from the same area and/or USA.
We have been discussing here the happenings a lot, actually since the start whereas we e.g. were worried about our New York friends/members and shared our feelings since, and that is what makes this Board so special.
