I bought some vinyl,
new 2004 versions of "Please Please Me" and "Abbey Road", and an old 60's pressing of "A Hard Days Night" which was the cheapest and best sounding record of the three.
A few bootlegs,
All Things Must Pass set and Paul McCartney "Cold Cuts" plus Dvd.

The last album I bought was the vinyl version of "Beatles '65" from the US. Although the sleeve is from the first 1964 edition, the disc inside seems to be from 1968!

Oooh... you must! It's absolutely AMAZING! It's one of his best albums. Maybe his best even. It's incredible. You should listen to it soon as possible. No more waiting.

Last one I acquired is White Bicycles, the album that was released in conjunction with Joe Boyd's book. Good stuff. Very good.

Ooh... I've gotten quite a few more since I last posted, but, my most recent acquisition is The Best of Lightnin' Hopkins (who my dad bought a drink for, way back in the day). Got that today.

Well, I'm getting Brainwashed three times it seems! First time it came it was busted, I sent it back, got in return the SAME BUSTED ONE, so now they're sending me a third! I refused to send this one back until they send me a new one as twice is more than enough!
I also got Tony Hadley - Passing Strangers, Tommy Shaw - What if, The Very Best of Redbone and Paul Simon in Central Park (the old VHS tape was worn out)

"Electronic Sounds" by George. I got it yesterday, and I'll listen to it during the weekend. I wonder whether I'll ever listen to it more than once!

The Moody Blues are my latest acquisitions too: To My Children's Children's Children and Strange Times. Particularly the later may appeal to Beatles fans as it somehow has a bit of a Beatly "feel" to it. Hubby says Forever Now sounds rather George-ish to him.

I remember people having simular opinions about "Strange Times".
There are some Beatle influences, and references to Beatle songs in a song like "The One", but "Forever Now" is a typical John Lodge ballad. One of his better ones imo. Anyway it's an fine album, updated sound but unlike the previous albums of the 90's and 80's, it has more of that classic Moody Blues feel.

I bought 2 the other day.
Flaming lips-at war with the mystics which i'd got out of the library so i know i liked that. It's not as good as the soft bulletin but had some beautiful moments on.
The other was the latest Mercury rev one. Midnght snowflake or something...it's not grown on me yet but the first song is really good.
