RIP Annette Funicello
Annette Funicello, 1942-2013 is most known for being the front and center Mousekateer in the 1950s. In the early 1960s, she and Frankie Avalon starred in a series of fun, inane beach blanket movies. Their most famous, the 1965 Beach Blanket Bingo featured some Beatle themed humor. In 1991 she guest starred in the execrable Full House, a singularly inane show. In 1961 she guest starred on the delightful, classy and very funny Make Room for Daddy. In one of her 1964 movies Bikini Beach, she co-starred with Frankie Avalon who played a dual role: one a sufer, the other a Beatle wigged rocker called Potato Bug. That was 1964!
