Default John's Artwork

Apparently, John donated this work to the Variety Club, who then made it into a card and sold it for charity.

What do you think? To me, it's like journeying inside John's mid-60s brain for a quick visit.

Default Eyes…lots and lots of eyes...

Hmmmm, is THAT what see saw after a spot of the old lysergic? Talk about kaleidoscope eyes. I'm gonna have to sit & think about this one.

First of all, WILDE I'M SO HAPPY TO SEE YOU BACK!!!! We have missed you so.

Secondly, Maia, this picture reminds me so much of John it's not even funny. It's colorful, multi-layered, and open to interpretation. It's all over the place, yet when I step back I see the beauty of it. Hmm, I know it's not for everyone but I appreciate the energy it possesses.

: So good to hear from you, wilde!

The more I look at the piece, the more disturbing it gets. There are faces everywhere. And a lot of them look like John.

Albert Hofmann, a chemist working for Sandoz Pharmaceutical, synthesized1 LSD for the first time in 1938, in Basel, Switzerland, while looking for a blood stimulant. However, its hallucinogenic effects were unknown until 1943 when Hofmann accidentally consumed some LSD. It was later found that an oral dose of as little as 25 micrograms (equal in weight to a few grains of salt) is capable of producing vivid hallucinations.

I can only think this is a connection in regards to this painting!

Gosh, guys ::Blush:: thank you all so much. I've missed you too. Maia, thank you for that great find. I've never seen any art where John worked with colors. 'Course, he did that in the mid-60's…whaddya gonna do? It's remarkable; thanks so much!
