Default Ticket buying tips?

Hey everyone!

So... Paul reccently announced a Toronto show in early August (it's going to be a few days after my 21st bday lol!), and my parents said we can go, if we can get our hands on tickets.

I've never been to a McCartney show before...but I know with ticketmaster shows often sell out in minutes. I REALLY want to go. Does anyone have any tips on how to get tickets?

What about pre sales? Are they generally the really pricey seats, or do the nosebleed seats get sold on pre sales too?

Thanks so much everyone!

The pre-sale did me good! They had different price categories available, so decide on the highest one you can afford and click away! Good luck!

Yes, the nosebleed seats are available in the pre-sale. Only way I could afford to take all the little Macca-maniacs in my household. Good luck!

I believe you need American Express to get pre-sale tix. Also, there's a 4 ticket per household limit.

Get on the Paul McCartney website. That was how I bought my ticket to see him in August 2009.

Make sure you have viable transportation. He was playing in a city some 2-300 miles away, so I made plans to take the 'Hound as I was not about to drive that distance or pay those prohibitively expensive parking charges!

As for now only American Express users can access the pre-sale, but the pre-sale should be available soon for all who have registered with Paul's website.

The pre-sale tix for Pittsburgh sold out in about 10 minutes.

Oh my gosh, you're so lucky.
I would do ANYTHING to see him in concert. unfortunately he's not coming anywhere close to western Canada, not even the northern States :(
Unfortunately I'm a ticket snob too, and it MUST be near the stage. Just really good seats somehow. the only way I'd get to see him is somehow getting time off of ski training, flying to toronto, and buying a really expensive tickets. already on ticketmaster, a front row seat is $2,225. yes. that is well into the thousands. I'm scared to see what the ticket brokers are selling this for...
but where is all the money going? certainly Paul must be putting it towards charities or something...

well the best I found (for what you are paying) was floor, row 4, for $675. doesn't seem so bad when the front row ones are selling for $4750 a ticket. there's a very very slim chance I could go. but it's a chance.

Ticket prices for Paul's shows are crazy. My seats are almost up in the nosebleeds because I bought two tickets and it was still almost $500. I can't afford more than that. Oddly, ticketmaster wasn't even selling tickets to that show. They skipped right over it and I had to go through a different website.

Our tickets are waaay up in the nosebleeds lol. The other tickets were much, much too expensive.

I just hope we'll still be able to hear stuff, LOL!

That's great, Sgt. Pepper.

I'm gonna try to get a ticket to see Paul for a good friend tomorrow.

Just a word of advice, whatever you do do not get tickets from paulmccartneylive.net, they are not legit and people have been scammed by them, by paying for tickets and then not receiving them.
