Seen it. Can NOT afford it. But if I had unlimited funds, I'd have a copy of all of the Beatles-related publications by that publisher (is it Genesis Publications? I can't remember).

Yeah, Genesis has put out some lovely stuff! Just always out of my price range.

The first Beatles book I read and owned was "A hard day´s write". It contains much great pics, too. When I got it, I hardly knew any Beatles Songs besides the "1"s and stuff from the red and blue album. So I used to read it before- and after I knew the songs that were described, and it was fun both times.

Then I read the Anthology of course, great for insiders, too much for beginners, I think.

I love Ian McDonalds book about the Beatles songs, don´t know the english title. I still have it next to my bed and find new stuff in it.

About John I have "John" by Cyn and "Memories of john Lennon" by Yoko. Both great to read!

Whoa, asha and jesgear, your collections are *amazing*! Even at the height of my collecting, I never had a collection that massive! Even so, I wish I'd held onto some of the books I've collected since I was a teen; I've donated a lot of them as I've moved from place to place over the last thirty years! Ah well, I hope some of those donated books lead others to Beatle fandom!

Read "Do You Want to Know a Secret? The Story of the Official George Harrison Fan Club" by Pat Kinzer Mancuso. It is a genuine treat.

That Ian MacDonald book is entitled, "Revolution in the Head" - a good analysis of the group's music, though I can't say I always agreed with his critique!

Back in 1964 when I just turned 16 I bought myself a copy of John Lennon's "In his own Write"

I still have it.

I guess I have purchased and given away a few hundred books and magazines about The Beatles over the last 46 years, but that one will always hold a very special place in my heart!

The LATEST Beatles book purchase for me was "Liddypool."

If you don't own it... then buy it.

The BEST way to know the Beatles... is to know where they came from.

I bought that book at my first Beatlefest in 2000. My copy is labeled as "24 of 100" and was signed by co-author Jim Kirkpatrick, Marcia Schafer Raubach (conducted the first live radio interview in the US with a Beatle), Gabe McCarty (member of The Four Vests, the band George jammed with on his first US visit), and, of course, Lou.

Great reading; I dig hearing about the way the world was back then.

I'm very proud of my George Harrison song book by Genesis... the first one... I think I got it in 1988??? 1989???

I purchased and read both of these, BB. In fact, Lou's book, (and the DVD showing the actual house and town), was an invaluable resource when I was writing "True Love Ways."
I thought Pat Mancuso's book was rather intriguing. Misunderstandings aside, whatever else happened, I felt it was such a shame that things didn't end better and with a more satisfactory sense of closure....I found that very sad.

An autographed copy with Lou's signature! How cool is that!

I also own and have reviewed the dvd "A Beatle in Benton." Ever since I was a very little girl I have wanted to know the story about George in America and I'm delighted that the book has finally been written!

I loved the Mancuso book and I hope she has found peace. She included some great never before seen photographs of George, his nephew Ian, Lou, and the senior Harrisons.
