Yes, I know, this has probably been asked here a few times already... LOL

... I go with "Vol. 1", because...
It has more of a "group feel" (vocals are spread more evenly between them and each has at least one song that you can say "It's a (so and so) song"...
... while still remaining, very much so, a "Wilbury" track !
It also seems to have a more spontaneous aspect to it, than "Vol. 3"...
Track-for-track, I enjoy better than the second album...
And, of course... because "Vol. 1" is graced by the presence of "The Big O"

Vol. 3, simply because I have it and I love it.
I haven't heard Vol. 1.

There aren't many to choose from...when we do take along the fantastic bootlegs which are available.
I go for Volume One because it is the original band of five.. and has the most spontaneuous songs which were built around the kitchen table.
I love all their work, sometimes I even prefer it over The Beatles.

I had to go with one.....It is simply the one I reach for more. I think what appeals to me is the 'excitement & comfort' that the music brings :)

Volume I for all the reasons previously expressed and also because of "Handle With Care" which was a deserved hit because it's so great.

I'd have to say vol. 1. While I really like both albums, I tend to listen to vol. 1 more often.

I prefer Volume 1- it has "End Of The Line" on it- it takes on more meaning now that George and Roy are gone.
Anyway, where's Volume 2? Why'd they skip?

Volume 1 considering it has all 5 members, and also I simply love all the tracks on it. Volume 3 is still good though.

I only have Vol 3 so far, but have heard most of Vol 1. I like Vol 3, but I think that Vol 1 is the better of the two albums.

I have both, but I have to say that I like Volume 1 much better. I love every song on it, and especially like Handle With Care, and End of the Line.

I have End of the Line, but on Pirate Songs, not Wilburys Vol. 1. I do plan on getting that somehow one of these days. :)

Volume 1 is miles better than the second one but I like both. Volume 3 could almost be a Bob Dylan and Tom Petty album as George and Jeff are not at the front that much.

In that sense, it also "lacks" Tom and Jeff...
Because Bob was due to go off on tour, when they recorded "Vol. 3", they had Bob do most of the lead vocals, later to decide what to keep or not to keep from all that... but like George said at the time "It's hard to wipe-off Bob's voice..." but it resulted in an almost "Bob Dylan and The Traveling Wilburys" sounding album.
