Sorry to weight-in on this so late...

"I'm a Loser" is a great bassline delivered by Paul. "Nowehere Man" is also one of my all-time favorite basslines.

Other basslines already mentioned here - "Old Brown Shoe", "Taxman" (both of which we played by George), Hey Bulldog, And Your Bird Can Sing etc. are all excellent and rank atop my all-time favorite basslines list.

Pretty much all of the bass work on Abbey Road is suburb.

Best bass line on any Beatles song is on "Dear Prudence." It is simply sublime.

Obviously

I've always liked the bassline from All You Need Is Love. Simple, sure, but it's flawless.

I like the bassline in Lady Madonna, it's so good that you could sing the song with only the bass back up.

Yeah, it is really cool to be able to listen a song with only a bass track playing. Most songs couldn't support this as the melody would just crumble, but the artistic soul of McCartney gave life to the humble instrument.

There's so many..but..I think I'm gonna say 'Something.' Pan the sound all the way to the right, and you can hear it so much more.

and the best on a post-b's tune...? remarkable, really, how that distinct sound and prominence all but disappeared in 1969.

Default (2) best mccartney bass lines (kant chews jus one . .)

1. Penny Lane (lovely walking in the park bass ) takes you on the journey.and (2) Rain" you can tell the fifth beatle George Martin slowed that one whaaaay down just listen to ringos drums but the bass line is the carrying force behind the song. Paul was the most innovative bass player of the times. No one and I mean NO ONE could touch him. If John Lennon says he's the best who could dispute Lennon?? case dismissed. ... per hold that lion. . . .. & number nine and what about harrisions rickk on VOX. . .Songs don't get anybetter than this.
