Robber dies after break in at Ringo Starr's apartment block
Robber dies after break-in at Ringo Starr's apartment block
http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/top-sto...5875-22320764/
A burglar collapsed as he was restrained during a break-in at Ringo Starr's apartment block, an inquest heard yesterday.
He died a few days later. Edward Sharman, 32, was held by office workers on the ground floor of the Beatles legend's luxury complex in Chelsea, West London, after being chased by porters.
Receptionist Abigail Hardy told Westminster coroner's court he was "extremely agitated" as her colleagues held him down and then fell unconscious just after a police officer arrived. She said: "It looked as though it might take a great deal to control him."
Mr Sharman, of Notting Hill, was taken to hospital but died five days later on April 30, 2008.
Det Supt Peter Laverick, of the Met's Directorate of Professional Standards, said: "Edward Sharman at the time of the incident was in breach of bail conditions... for the burglary of a block of flats, possession of an offensive weapon and common assault." The inquest continues.

Oh dear... very strange to die just like that at 32. I'm sure the staff were a little distressed.
Although... if it were my time to go, maybe that's a good place for it to happen (Ringo's place, that is, not necessarily the hospital).

well, its karma really..sounds callous but the burglar probably got what was coming to him.. Not to wish anyone ill, but anyone trying to break in to a Beatles residence i find quite alarming considering the history of things..

How frightening for Ringo...even if Ringo wasn't there at the time. Just the thought of someone trying to break in your home...especially a former Fab.

Yeah, this is what happened a couple of years ago. It says he died in April 30, 2008.
