The Beatles, on their last tour of Britain, performed two shows at the Empire Theatre in Liverpool, the last concerts they would ever play in their home-town. For both concerts, only 5,100 tickets were available, but there were 40,000 applications for tickets.
During the second show, Paul McCartney joins the support act The Koobas on stage, playing drums during their rendition of "Dizzy Miss Lizzie". [Note: the song "Dizzy Miss Lizzie" is often spelled "Dizzy Miss Lizzy".]
