Default Deja Vu

In early 1964, the Beatles accomplished something never before achieved. They secured the top five positions on the charts. The closest anyone has ever come to this feat happened when and by who? Extra point if you can name the songs.

How many Beatles does it take to change a light bulb?
4: John to come up with a light bulb,
Paul to claim half of the light bulb,
George to complain his lights bulbs are never considered,
and Ringo, to actually change the light bulb.

It may have been asked before, but not with the info I wanted. Cecilia, you were close but you got the year wrong. Both points go to darkhorse, for giving more info than I was expecting. Here's the rundown of what I was looking for:

In 1978, the Bee Gees had three of the top five spots with their songs, "Stayin' Alive", "Night Fever" and "How Deep Is Your Love", from the movie Saturday Night Fever. The other two positions were held by songs written by them, "If I Can't Have You" by Yvonne Elliman and "More Than A Woman" by Tavares.

Scores:
darkhorse - 4
Cecilia - 3
Claudia78 - 3
biglou114 - 1
FPSHOT - 1
HMVNipper - 1
