Default Favorite Paul rocker

Okay, I got lots of interesting replies to "favorite Paul ballad" that I thought it was time to find out what your fave Paul rocker was. Of course it can be more than one. I'd really like to know your fave solo and fave Beatle Paul rocker.

Go for it!

This was really tough! My fave Beatle Paul rocker is "I'm Down". Love the screaming. Then again, he did a mighty nice cover of "Long Tall Sally". Oh that he could perform that one again!
Picking a solo rocker was even more tough. I'm going to go with Figure of Eight. Of course, if I were to answer this again tomorrow, I could pick something eles. Figure of eight has a sentimental value for me as I saw him perform it in concert. I just think this song totally Rocks!

Definitely "Girl's School." Absolutely love it. A charged up, electric B-side with promiscuous lyrics.

Other favs:

Junior's Farm
Helter Skelter
I'm Down
Call Me Back Again (I like to call it Oh! Darling part 2!)
I Saw Her Standing There
Oh! Darling (probably my fav. Paul Beatle rocker)
Medicine Jar

Oh my oh my, tough question....

Beatles era would be "I'm Down", "Helter Skelter" or maybe an odd choice like "Kansas City".

Solo era: "Hi Hi Hi", "Helen Wheels" and I love his version of "Twenty Flight Rock".

This is a tough one
Beatles era;
I love 'I Saw Her Standing There' but however hard they tried I just don't quite see it as a 'rocker'.
'I'm Down' is awesome probably one of their best writing attempts.
Absolutely love their version 'Long Tall Sally & Kansas City'.

as for Paul solo's;
I also love his version of 'Twenty Flight Rock'
'HI HI HI' is definitely one of my favorites.
'What It Is' is a good attempt
but in actually writing and execution I would have to give my vote to 'Run Devil Run'.

Tough questions as well...hmmm...from the Beatles era, I'd choose "Helter Skelter". Can anyone think in something more rocking than that?
And from his solo career, "Rockestra Theme" is a great rock instrumental. And the classical "Live And Let Die". Those would be my choices

From Back To The Egg, two of my favourites:
"Getting Closer" and "So Glad To See You here", those are really great solid rock songs.

Perhaps even "Maybe I am Amazed".

Screaming top notch rockers for me are: "Monkberry Moon Delight" and "Why don't we do it in the road"... And not so much of a Rocker but a power ballad, "Oh Darling!" is pretty rocked out too... God I love the man's voice!

This oneīs tough. *

From the Beatles era I guess Iīll have to pick Long Tall Sally, Sgt Pepperīs Lonely Hearts Club Band, Iīm Down and Kansas City (yup, totally impossible to pick just one *).

Post-Beatles: Hi Hi Hi, Jet and Juniorīs Farm

Aargh! I can't believe I totally forgot about Helen Wheels! Excellent choice! I wasn't even thinking about covers from Paul's solo career, but 20 flight rock is also a good choice. Hmm...I think I need to pull out a bunch of Paul cds today!

I would consider I Saw Her Standing There a rocker. It's classic in every way and has great energy.

Ooo, so many to choose from...
I guess from Beatles-era I'd say I'm Down, Long Tall Sally or Oh! Darling, and from his solo stuff Maybe I'm Amazed or Live and Let Die.

Uh, I'll agree with the Back To The Egg mention. At least with two, "Getting Closer" and "Old Siam, Sir" are amongst the best rockers he ever did in his solo carrer. All powerful and big-sounding. I also enjoy "Junior's Farm" a lot... I think it's a bit underplayed, compared with another Wings hits that are far inferior in quality. What other? "Beware My Love" is an excellent rocker. And from the more present era, hmmm, "Figure Of Eight", "Get Out Of My Way", "Off The Ground", "Flaming Pie" (the songs), and the perfect rock'n'roll sounding track that "Run Devil Run" is.

The man is a much better rocker than he thinks he is. Should do more rocky tunes!
