I know it sounds redundant because you mentioned this in your message, but was it "Introducing the Beatles"? Kind of like "Meet the Beatles", but maybe "Please Please Me" sounded more appealing than "Introducing the Beatles".

Yeah, it does sound better.

One_Sweet_Dream - The American release of the Please Please Me was on Vee Jay and called Introducing the Beatles. Named after the song of the same title, it was a name thought up by John because he always loved the double-meaning of words. PPM was original written slowly in a Roy Orbison type style, but George Martin didn't like it and said that it should be sped up. Lennon did this and it became their first big UK hit!
