Default Beatles Add More Gold & Platinum Records In April

Beatles Add More Gold & Platinum Records In April

http://www.fmqb.com/article.asp?id=1821959

The Beatles already hold just about every album sales record there is, and with last year's re-issues of the Fab Four catalog, a number of their albums have added new Gold and Platinum honors. The RIAA has released its monthly list of certifications, with The Beatles In Stereo set certified triple-Platinum and The Beatles In Mono set going Platinum. Additionally, the Beatles' LOVE album from the Cirque du Soleil show of the same name was certified triple-Platinum.

Two of Jay-Z's latest hits were certified multi-platinum in April, with his Alicia Keys collaboration "Empire State Of Mind" now triple-Platinum and "Run This Town" with Rihanna and Kanye West going double-Platinum. Ludacris' hit "How Low" also went Platinum in a just a month.

Also of note, Miley Cyrus' Time Of Our Lives and Muse's latest album Resistance were both certified Gold, as well as Owl City's debut Ocean Eyes.

A number of Country stars went multi-Platinum in April, with the Zac Brown Band and Lady Antebellum receiving double-Platinum certifications and Sugarland's Enjoy The Ride certified triple-Platinum.
