Re: If John Lennon Had Lived???
I'm old enough to tell you that age & time tend to mellow you out; therefore, I'm inclined to say that the 4 of them would've agreed to perform again, but not tour. I'd like to think Radio City Music Hall would've been their venue of choice. (New York City is so accessible.) I'd also like to think that all the petty issues between them would've been forgotten by now.

It's a beautiful thought.
Maybe in 80 odd years time, when we're all dead (I presume), they'll be a concert in the skies!!!

That is a beautiful thought... do you really think it works that way in heaven?
I don't think they'd have toured either. But it's nice to think that they'd do a concert here and there for all their old and new fans. How many bands are there out there that gain new fans daily even though they've been broken up for 30 years? Pretty amazing when you think of it.

If John Lennon Had Lived???
I know this is one of those "if" questions that really has no proper answer, but I've been thinking about this lately.
If John hadn't been murdered, do you think the four Beatles would have ever played live together again? I think alot of people would say they would have recorded together again, but what about playing live? I'm interested to see what you guys think.

Re: If John Lennon Had Lived???
I dunno, maybe you don't even get instruments in Heaven, perhaps music is expressed as an emotion, have no idea really.
Yeah, it makes me laugh when I hear about the rolling stones still going after 60 years, and they're still popular - wooo GREAT!
The Beatles only recorded for like 6 years, and they achieved........... well what can you say.

Re: If John Lennon Had Lived???
I have always believed that the Beatles would have reunited on stage at Live Aid had John Lennon lived.
After that they just might have returned to recording and touring now and then.

Re: If John Lennon Had Lived???
I always believed that they left messages scattered among certain songs. Their last album recorded, Abbey Road, had a 15 sec. gap between "The End" & "Her Majesty"; Paul recorded a song called "1985". Since the breakup in '70; add 15 years to 1985 and that was when I figured they would regroup.
If I'm not mistaken; LiveAid was in 1985.
Just my opinion.

Re: If John Lennon Had Lived???
i definitely think they would have reunited, but to what extent i am not certain.
let's face it, no one on earth could possibly come close to what the Fab Four would accomplish on a worldwide stadium tour.
i suspect that we'd probably see an album and tour from them every 5 years or so in the 80s and 90s. they would need breathing room so they wouldn't get sick of each other (and yoko )

Re: If John Lennon Had Lived???
I don't think there would have been anything like a reunion unless it benefited Yoko in some way.

Re: If John Lennon Had Lived???
I reckon that if John had survived, he would have realised how precious life is, and build his friendship back with Paul. After working on some songs together for a bit, they'd probably call Ringo and George back, and play like they used to, and still beat the hell out of anyone remotely close to their success (which is no-one.)
