Default What\'s the sweetest thing you ever did

I was just wondering, what's the sweetest thing that you ever did? The sweetest thing I ever did was I took my mother out to dinner for mothers day and paid for the whole thing. I've done plenty of sweet things. I use to teenage volunteer at the hospital and I truly enjoyed that too. I've been told I'm a truly sweet person and I believe I become that way all because I have a very sweet mother.

i am not sure what the best is because i guess you would have to ask people who know me. i guess altely the best was 2 things my daughter and i go through the neighborhood and leave bags of goodies in mailboxes. we ahve done it for years. ony a couple of them know and they keep the secret. the next was a friend of my mom is in need i sent money to the grocer to have them send her gift cards she would never accept them and to say it was from a santa. i like to do things and nottell

Yeah, I'm gonna have to say that, too; I was getting worried that I'd have to leave this topic without answering. No, I don't know.. I didn't attempt to murder my friend's little sister on New YEar's Eve (she's practically my sister, and not in a positive way )

Isn't a kindness(sweet thing) extended something you don't usually talk about?

I usually give money to homeless people who are out on a street and beg for money... I kinda feel sorry for them. I just think it's something what could happen to anyone anytime, so I try to be as kind as I can. I believe they don't lie about it. To be honest, I do it only when I'm walking alone, my parents always say to me, "don't give them anything, they're just too lazy for work etc", but I know many people who were expelled from their work and just couldn't find any new job, and didn't even have any other source of money

This makes me think of Walt Whitman's thoughts~

"This is what you shall do: Love the earth and sun and the animals, despise riches, give alms to everyone that asks , stand up for the stupid and crazy, devote your income and labor to others, hate tyrants, argue not concerning God, have patience and indulgence toward the people, take off your hat to nothing known or unknown or to any man or number of men, go freely with powerful uneducated persons and with the young and with the mothers of families, read these leaves in the open air every season of every year of your life, re-examine all you have been told at school or church or in any book, dismiss whatever insults your own soul, and your very flesh shall be a great poem and have the richest fluency not only in its words but in the silent lines of its lips and face and between the lashes of your eyes and in every motion and joint of your body."

I love that, what an incredible last line!

Of course, Walt's time was before mass email spamming! That could get expensive these days!!

Now this wasn't me who did this but, I really like this story.

When my dad was 19 he went to Brazil, when he was there man came up to him and asked him for money to buy food, but my Dad could smell alcohol on his breath and was afraid that he would take the money and buy some more alcohol. So my Dad took him to a restaurant and bought him a complete dinner and an extra meal for him to take with him.

I think that was really sweet of my Dad to do that

I guess my entry for this would be when a friend of mine had just split up with his other half. He was really down and glum so I drew him a picture and wrote him a poem telling him how much he meant to me as a friend.
