No Good News From R&R HOF
The R&R HOF announced their nominations for the class of 2005. Unfortunately Wings was not on the list. The new nominees are: J.Geils, Pretenders,Conway Twitty,Wanda Jackson,Percy Sledge,U-2,Buddy Guy,O'Jays,Randy Newman and Grandmaster Flash. Yes! I said Grandmaster Flash. Among past nominees are Lynrd Skynrd,Sex Pistols,Patti Smith and Gram Parsons.
I plan to comment on this after the shock of Grandmaster making the list and Wings not wears off.

Ok, my vote goes to U2, Lynrd Skynrd, Sex Pistols, and the Pretenders... and Wanda Jackson too because I personally think she kicks ass.
And still no Ringo, either?

Re: No Good News From R&R HOF
Grandmaster Flash was the first artist to use the turntable as a musical instrument. That accomplishment deserves recognition. Wings should be in there, too, though.

Re: No Good News From R&R HOF
J.Geils who?
Pretenders okay
Conway Twitty who?
Wanda Jackson who?
Percy Sledge who?
U-2 good band, but already? I would think they would be in within a few more years, not now
Buddy Guy who?
O'Jays I've heard of them but not familiar to them
Randy Newman deserving
and Grandmaster Flash. who?
Among past nominees are Lynrd Skynrd,Sex Pistols,Patti Smith and Gram Parsons
Damn, they should've been with the 2005, they all kick butt...except for Gram Parsons...who's he/she?

I can answer who some of these bands/artists are...
J. Geils: Had a hit in the 80s, "Centerfold".
The Pretenders: were fronted by Chrissie Hynde, I think their biggest hit was "Brass in Pocket".
Percy Sledge: Soul singer from the '60s, biggest hit was "When A Man Loves A Woman".
Hope that helps!
