Default Strawberry B rolls out now!

Yes friends, just when you have collected all the Yellow Dog, Day By Day cd's, you can start again.
I saw the first three volumes of the new Strawberry cd's, which has all the B. camera rolls. I don't know how many volumes it will be, but you must colect them, cause at the end of the ride you will have 1 more hour of Get Back rehearsals that wasn't on the Day By Day series.

Have fun people.

I didn't buy them btw.

But which hour have we been blessed with now? Besides, is it truly a full hour of NEW, or just scattered minutes that the A rolls didn't catch?

If it has anything to do with George leaving, it'd be worth it.

I wouldn't got my hopes up for an cd with one hour of new recordings. It is most likely that you will have to buy the whole set,oh pardon me, trade for the whole set.

What will be the case In all likelyhood, that you will get a few minutes on each cd. Something that the A camera didn't catch, cause its tape run out, but what was recorded through camera B. So you got all the stuff that's on day by day, minutes something but plus another something.

Maybe Jerry knows more about the set.Camera moves towards Jerry.

I thought for sure that all of the B rolls have been out for awhile now. I have a bunch of the B rolls, I think it's mainly the Apple sessions. And the earlier B rolls are out there in those trading tree things.

As for how much stuff on the B rolls is not on the A rolls, I think it's definitely more than an hour. There are a few sites that have nice tables of when each roll was recorded, and I remember that there were some good chunks of time when the A camera was off and the B camera kept rolling.

Can anybody find that site?

Here are the early B rolls, the rest of the links are all at the bottom of the page. This is everything from from January 3rd through the 14th...

And you can find the later B rolls here, the volumes are a little out of order, but it's everything from January 22nd through the end of the sessions...
http://www.bootlegzone.com/files.php...=1&pub=166

And to be complete, here's that site I was talking about...
http://beatlesource.com/A-B.htm

Take a look at January 23rd and January 31st, it looks like there's a lot of material recorded on B rolls that weren't taped on A rolls. Especially the 31st, that's a sweet day, when they were trying to nail down perfect versions of the slower songs.

Unless you had the complete 126 Cd Get Back Sessions that is difficult to find, the Twickenham B rolls were rarer than the A rolls. The infamous "cafeteria conversation" where the Beatles have a very real conversation (minus George) about break up is an example of what can be found exclusively on the B rolls.

When "Kum Back" (18 CD's) was recently "released", it was at a premium, because it had these Twickenham B rolls. Before this, the "fake" Unicorn 14-17 B-rolls (double CD volumes) completed the Apple B-rolls, but still didn't address the Twickenham B's.

Kum Back, combined with the Lost Batz rolls, as well as all 34 Cd's of Unicorn B's(or Quarter Apples, etc) should give you all the B rolls available to compliment your 76 DBD A roll cd's if you don't have the 126 comprehensive Get Back Sessions collection. Or, you could just get a hold of the "Definitive Get Back Sessions" collection that is being released by PC. January 21-27 of this PC collection has been released to date.

I hope this helps.

Thanks, Unreleased...B rolls do make a little more sense now.

I have all the A rolls, and I remember long converstaions amongst the Beatles (sans George). Are you saying that a B-roll has several minutes MORE of this conversation, or an entirely different one? (sorry, I can't give you a DBD vol. # or roll # right now)

Hi onosideboards,

You're right-- role 132A has the actual "lunch tape" conversation, corresponding with DBD Vol 15 disc 2. Much of the events and conversations that lead up to this point and follow after it are exclusively B role. There is a considerable amount of recording time that is available on the B's and not the A's. Remember, that was the purpose of having two 16 minute rolls going. As the camera's fell further out of sink, there are instances where the B roll is relied on for the full 16 minute recording, rather than just a few minutes here and there as the A roll is replaced.

I am going ahead with the Strawberry set. I just added volumes 4,5 and 6 to my collection. I don't have the unicorn set, so perhaps I am behind on the B roll thing. Am I the only one colection the Strawberry set btw? Tho Unicorn also collects the roll by number, I get a bit confused, especially as there is also a fake unicorn. Strawberry makes collectin the B rolls easier for me.
