Default Where's the Skiffle?

Allow me to show my Beatle noobness.

Okay, so I've always believed that "I've Just Seen a Face" was done in a skiffle style - if such a thing still existed in The Beatles music post the Quarrymen - although a friend just told me I was crazy for thinking that. I think he meant to say that strong traces of skiffle were not apparent in The Beatles music, because I still say "I've Just Seen a Face" is skiffle.

Am I wrong?

In which Beatles songs are the remnants of skiffle most pronounced.

yes, the frantically scrubbed acoutsic guitars are kind of reminisecent of skiffle. Probably Maggie Mae is their most skiffle-y cut, although both Two Of Us and Ballad of John and Yoko have that home-made charm too.

I don't think it sounds anything like skiffle.

Rock Island Line, Cumberland Gap and Puttin' on The Style were all skiffle... I've just seen a Face ?

I don't think so...

Hmmm… The song has a fast tempo, almost country-like, but I guess it kind of mirrors the pre-Beatle music.
