You know you're obsessed with the Beatles when:

They start seeming like they're your best friends and you can't get enough of them.

very true! i'm re-reading the anthology book, and i keep thinking, "if only i could tell them this, then maybe this wouldn't have happened!" all musical genius aside, i think it would be very fun just to hang out with the beatles like i do with all my friends.

you know you are obsessed when your teacher calls you a walking, talking Beatles encyclopedia

Haha!! In grade 10 my history teacher (who knew I was the class Beatlemaniac) was talking about Lennin and he looked right at me and said to the class "Now...thats Len-NIN...not Len-NON"

When you get an old beatup Volkswagon Beetle, paint it white and put a 281f license plate on it

When your best friend's little sister makes pictures of the Beatles at school, sings the songs and loves "Yellow Submarine". Shes 8 years old! ( this actually happened).

When you see a commercial for "Love" in Las Vegas, but you can't go there alone and you mope for the rest of the day.

You hear a Beatles song in a store and you have to stop in to hear the entire song....and not bother to buy anything or acknowledge the salesperson.

It happens alot, especially to me. Also, I LOVE that car!!!!!!!!

I do that all the time. Also, you get mad if the PA sytem interrupts it to announce a sale.

You use lines from Beatle songs as well as songs to support your candidate during a campaign or anti-war march.
True, true, so true.

Mine:

You seriously considered being John for Halloween.

When people ask you what you want for dessert, you answer "marshmallow pies."

You scream at people who say the Beatles are gay (not because you're against it, even, but just because it's not true).

You can sing Gnik Gus (off of LOVE) perfectly, although it's backwards.

When things are looking up, you break into "I have to admit, it's getting better!"

If you're a writer, all your characters have Beatle-names, like Jude, Lucy, Michelle.

You cry when you reach the end of a Lennon biography, because you know how it ends (yet you still read to the end of it).

You're enraged when you hear that somebody's making a movie about Chapman. (They are. o.O)

Whenever you tape something up, you sing Fixing a Hole.

You ponder about the impact of, say, Elvis compared to John's or Paul's.

I can relate to a lot of these, especially this one.

A friend of mine from work came across the movie "Imagine: John Lennon" on tv recently, and she said she instantly thought of me. And she's not that familiar with the Beatles music. Maybe I can convert her!

..zebra crossings make you feel SO COOL.

..you think everything related to the number 9 has some sort of deep significance.

..your ringtone is a Beatles tune and when you have an incoming call you don't answer it because you want to hear the song. And sing along. And do a little dance.

..a little scouse always finds a way to sneak into yer accent.

..when you hear about something that happened in the sixties you fit it into Beatles chronology : "Ah, around the time Zak was born", "That was when they were still touring", "That was pre-moustache", "That was post-Jane", etc.

..when asked if you like seasoning, you giggle hysterically.

..you can always identify the year any picture of them was taken. Often also month and location.

..in conversations, you tend to quote John, Paul, Ringo, George, and Beatles lyrics, and people roll their eyes, and you get annoyed because IT WAS RELEVANT, DAMMIT!

..you pronounce yourself dead whenever you take your socks off in public.

..you think about John every time you read, hear, speak or write the word “imagine”.

..when you sing ballads, you finish them with the “whoa whoa whoa” ending from My Love.

..you feel very connected to India.

..someone shouts “hey!” and you add “Juuuude”, or “bulldog!!”, depending on your mood.

If someone has ever mentioned to you that they " don't really like the Beatles" or " I just don't see what is so good about them" you will always remember that every time you see them and will forever judge them...

That happened to me a few weeks ago. It was my colleague from work who was not acknowledging "the boys" and from then on I stopped forwarding him interesting mails.

You can't be mentioned in a newspaper article without The Beatles mentioned too.
