I say leave it B&W. The movie is a doggone classic, for Pete's sake! It would be a darn shame to color it as the film is a 1964 classic and in today's world, a period piece!

Good job colorizing langust, I have to agree with BB1964, as a period piece it should remain in B & W but good job!

But what's the difference between 1964 and 1965? This was exactly the same period piece. "Help!" was filmed in color... .

Anyway, I would say leave it as it is - it's the same with the old black and White Hartnell/Troughton "Doctor Who" stories. Leave them the way they were made.

So weird to see it in color but I love it! I really do adore the classic black and white, but it's so different to see it in color... honestly, I didnt even feel like it was the same scene I've seen dozens of times. So cool! Well done with the color!

I dont see why everything couldnt be colorised? Surely its best to have both than just one :) Then everyone can decide which one they watch and like..

I think it should stay in black and white so it has that classy, old feel to it :) I'd watch it if it came out in colour, but I think it would look better in black and white.

The 1960s was a a very colourful decade. Why a Hard Days Night was filmed in back & white back then God only knows. It should be colorized and then you have the choice.
The film The Longest Day, about the Day-Day landing with an all star cast was filmed in 1962 in B&W. When it was colourized the film improved immensely.

It would probably take away from some of the feel of it. The black & white presents an atmosphere that the color doesnt. But I suppose I wouldnt hate it that way. Maybe they could make it as an option on a future release, as long the black & white is still there too.

That's like re-making Yellow Submarine .... what's the point! The colorized process never looks good and A HDN just has such great BW scenery that it would be ruin! NO defiantly not.

Well.. when I first heard there were plans to mess with the original tapes to create "new" Beatles recordings for "Cirque du Soleil", I was outraged that anyone would even consider such heresy! But they went ahead with it... and the result was brilliance! So why not colorize this classic movie?... those clips langust posted look pretty good for me (except for John's grey sideburns in the "Tell Me Why" clip)... I say go for it.. it might be fun to watch the movie all over again in colour this time. And the black-and-white version will always be there to watch too.
