Re: Least favourite scene
I couldn't figure it out at first either, probably because I usually have to keep it low to prevent my dad from griping, but recently I caught it. To sum it up, this 'lady' flips out (calmly!) as they pass by,saying that John looks 'just like him' .I still don't know what 'him' they mean in all this, obviously not John,as she turns it right around and says he doesn't look like him at all.A friend of mine said they meant Paul,LOL Maybe so.
I'm gonna go watch this flick at proper volume right now. Maybe then I'll solve this mystery for yeh.

Re: Least favourite scene
Hmm... I always thought that she thought that John was John, and he was pretending not to be... it just seems like something John would do. But of course there is a great chance I am totally off on this. But a little while back I bought a new copy of 'A Hard Day's Night' cause it was re-released, and at the end they have a special with alot of cast members and such talking, and they interview the lady who is in that scene, but of course I can't remember what she says lol, and I am too lazy to watch it tonight...
But getting back to the topic, probably my least fav scene is in Let It Be when George and Paul get in that fight...

Re: Least favourite scene
I luvs me FABS, oh yes I do, but I didn't like ANYTHING about MMT, save for I AM THE WALRUS.
As for the bit in LIB where George and Paul "get into it," well, you do have to remember they were verrrrry young lads at the time, and "you know how hard it can be..."

Re: Least favourite scene
Don't get me wrong, I love MMT, but the two scenes I can't stand to watch are the race scene, and the stripper scene. The race part is, IMO, incredibly boring, and in the stripper scene, the band leader freaks me out. I think he's sleazy and gross looking. Not to mention he looks like the dad of one of my friends from high school. I fast foward the race scene every time, but sometimes I suffer the stripper scene just because John and George are too funny.

Re: Least favourite scene
On the subject of MMT, i used to not like the speghetti scene, but since I learned that that was George's fave scene, I may have changed my mind.
I don't like the stripper scene either, but you have to admit that tune is quite catchy?!
The racing was a bit over done, I agree.

Re: Least favourite scene
I've seen all of their movies and I would have to say they are all very unique and funny.
But I have a few least favorite scenes from each movie...
A Hard Days Night...I loved it all, I wouldnt take anything out.
Help!, although my favorite Beatle movie, the one scene I cant stand is in the beginning, because even though without it you wouldnt have any clue about the movie, it doesnt have the Beatles cute humor in it, until the part where the song Help! comes on, thats where they redeam themselves.
The beginning in Yellow Submarine is a bit dull, and the blue meanies and that blue glove scares me
Magical Mystery tour music scenes were awesome! But the spagghetti and love scene along with the race scene couldve been at least shortend.
Let it Be I dont remember any fighting, but I have only seen it once, (maybe Ill watch it again) but the part where Georges mic is broken or whatever, hurts my ears.
Now dont get me wrong, I ABSOLUTLY ADORE all these movies, but some scenes we could do without.

Re: Least favourite scene
I haven't seen MMT or Yellow Submarine or Let It Be yet... but:
for AHDN: Near the end when the Beatles are being chased by the police- don't get me wrong, I like it but it's just been kinda boring for me.
Help!: Can't think of anything really right now.

Just going back to Aunt Jessie's dream, what's actually happening in it? Is she meant to eat the spaghetti or what? I watched MMT twice in a row as well, 'cause there were some bits I didn't get. So what was going on?? Output?? did they mean what I thought they meant by that? Won't you please, please help me?

I am sorry, but that scene in Magical Mystery Tour with the spaghetti makes me queasy. I didn't like that at all. My favorite Beatle may have liked that scene best, but I never cared for that scene.
I didn't like it when the Beatles wore those ugly masks in Magical Mystery Tour.
Wall, the Buckingham Palace in Help! WAS stupid, but I actually liked it. I love the look on George's face when he points out the "whirly thing" coming through a portrait's stomach. He was SO funny (and his beautiful wavy hair stole the show)!

Well known information: there is a VERY similar scene in Monty Python's "Meaning of Life" that was no doubt inspired by MMT. though Python takes it a bit more over the top {shock}
least favorite? here i'll have to join some of the crowd and say that I can't think of one at the moment. I don't remember the *bad* bits as well as the good ones, ya know.

Do you mean the "just one small wafer mint sir?" scene?
Fantastic.

I too actually didn't mind the spaghetti scene.
Although its not really a scene per se, but I too also hate the squabbling between George and Paul in LIB. It's painful to watch.

There is only one bit of a scene that I never quite understood. It's in A Hard Days Night with Ringo and Pauls grandfather in the cafeteria. There is this one guy in the background putting ketchup on his napkin that is tucked into the top of his shirt. Why in the world did he put ketchup on his napkin like that? I could understand if he was using the napkin to take the ketchup off of his face or something, but to put ketchup on his napkin on purpose. To me that just doesn't seem to add up. Of course I think all movies have at least one small part that a small few might not fully understand.

Yeah I think actors did the same thing with chocolate sauce when movies were all black and white
