I just happened to run into this link that has all of the songs from this latest album. It sounds pretty neat. It's from the aol website.

He did an interview on Radio 4 a few weeks back, he sounded much more genuine than he has in a long time. That's so cool that you can listen to the whole album online - is there any way to download it free from there?

I thought that was the worst song on the album.

I actually enjoy the hidden track that's at the end of Anyway. This sounds like the sort of thing that would go on a Mc Cartney III.

This is the one we have been waiting for all these years. The very best work of art Paul has ever fashioned. I think I am really badly hooked on this one. Paul has emulated and surpassed his Beatles creativity.
I dont know which song I like the best as I love them all Jenny Wren, Riding to Vanity Fair, English Tea, This Never Happened Before and A Certain Softness are my particular favourites.
The only down side is that I dont know how Paul will ever surpass this.
Chaos and Creation in the Backyard will go down as a real classic in the history of popular music which will long outlive us all.

I was planning to get this from Amazon the next time I order, but today my mom went to Best Buy while I was at school and when I got home, surprised me with the Special Edition--she knows me well.

Put it up against most of his Beatles work and I think you'll find it's no where near the best work of art Paul has ever fashioned. Not in a million years.

I've listened to this album 4 times back to back to back to back. I have never ever done this before. I really need to give Paul a pat on the back, he has really blown me away with this one.
Damn college application, I can't watch the bonus DVD till tomorrow.

I only had a chance to listen to it once, but I'll be listening again several times in the next few days. On first listen, I think that Paul's put a lot more work into his lyrics than he usually does, some really nice lines. It is, as many have said, very piano driven and a most of the songs are slow or mid-tempo. In that respect, I think I'm going to have to let it grow on me a little more. I always latch on to rocking songs or catchy, hooky songs right away, but sometimes the slower and more subtle stuff takes a few listens before I appreciate it as much.
This album seems very "adult" and mature, so any more of the "Paul thinks he's 21" type comments should cease once people listen to it. It's very age-appropriate sounding.
I'll give a more thorough review later once I've had a chance to listen to it a few more times and let it all sink in.

No problem! At least that link will give people an idea what the album sounds like before they decide to buy it! I know it's something I'm going to buy as soon as I get my bank balance up. I don't want to risk bouncing a check considering I have to pay bills etc...

Review from the Chicago Sun-Times:
http://www.suntimes.com/output/derog...tr-paul13.html
Keep in mind, this critic hates EVERYTHING, unless he deems it hip and underground enough not to damage his (questionable) cool factor, so this is actually a really positive review, for him.

I have heard the new album and I think it is Ok. It is certainly an improvement over Driving Rain which I thought was his worst album. Has anyone noticed though how forced McCartney's melodies are lately? Ironic since this is from the man who seemed to pull beautiful melodies out of the sky. The Beatles, of course, but what about some of his Wings gems? Love In Song, Listen To What the Man Said, Bluebird, I'm Carrying not to mention the entire Ram album. These songs flowed effortlessly but his recent material rarely, if ever, finds that zone.

I think there are some great melodies on this record. The final track "Anyway" has a beautiful piano arrangement. It is not as flowing because thats the way it's been recorded. It's meant to sound like one guy in the studio just like his debut album.
