Default Paul's remasters??

Well, now that John's albums have been beautifully remastered, George's second batch of remasters is on its way this year, and the UK Beatles catalog is being remastered, do you think we'll see Macca get remasters of his solo albums??

I must say that I'd LOVE to hear the remastered version of "McCartney". I think that's my favorite Paul solo album just because it's so raw.

They were re-mastered back in 1993 and already in great sound quality. I am not interested in buying the whole McCartney catelogue again. There was a need for John's cd's to be remastered and re-released, George's warner bros. albums were out of print, so there was a need for that and there is a real need for the Beatles catelogue to be remastered. There really is no need for a re-release of Paul's cd's.

Plus they have extra tracks. My only minor complaints with the 93 reissues are the cover art has been shrunk down and they aren't so easily available in stores, but can be found easily online for cheap.

The full covers are inside, I think for all albums if I am not mistaken.

I think the cover art is inside for all of them, but the liner notes (as they would have been in the original record releases) are not always complete.

Well, the McCartney remasters are 13 years old now. With the improvements in technology since then, they could sound even better remastered today.

On cd format, I pretty much doubt it. They would have to be re-released in a different format like dvd audio, SACD or whatever.

The Winspan comp was remastered in 2001, and sounds better than the '93 versions, IMO

Expect a full revamp of the Wings/Macca sometime in the next 5 years or so, before 2013, when the current remasters will be 20 years old.
