Default I Feel Fine

Hi,

New to the board, but loved the Beatles all my life.
I have just downloaded I'm a Loser and Help takes from EasternBird's site.

I was hoping there may be the equivalent for my favourite Beatles song I Feel Fine i.e all the takes sequentially.

Could anyone point me in the right direction.

Also, Mark Lewisohns book talks about the riff emerging during other recording sessions for Beatles for Sale.
Anyone heard anything with John working on the riff during other recordings?

Hi, welcome to the forum.

I think the best source for "I Feel Fine" is this one...
http://www.bootlegzone.com/album.php?name=ydb302

It starts with takes 1 and 2, which are both breakdowns. Take 1 is in a higher key, but take 2 sounds like the regular key. Next are takes 5 and 6, which are both nice complete runthroughs. Take 6 has no singing. Then there's an announcement for take 7, but it isn't available. Finally, the finished take 9 is presented in a different mix and without the fadeout, so you can hear the band breakdown at the end.

The regular mono mix of the song is also a little different, it's on that official "singles" collection if you can find it.

Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply.

Presumably I will have to hunt this down via a record fair?
Would an eBay search be any good do you think?

Thanks again.

You can usually find Beatles bootlegs all over eBay. Like here's the CD now...

Or you could win our forum contest of course....
