lol just now on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, he did a little segment of "If I had one wish," and the wish Jimmy had was "if the two remaining Beatles would reunite and sing the theme song to "full house." and then he did an impression of Paul and Ringo and everyone cheered and he said, "yeah, if the Beatles did it, it would be killer!"

Thanks to Joe, we got this one:

I have yet another one! lol
Tonight on Glee, Kurt sang "I want to hold your hand"
He sang it about his dad that was in a coma, so it was definitely the most sad version of the song I've ever heard.

Two from iCarly:
In the episode where they meet Fred, Sam says "I buried Paul!"
Also, in the one where they sneek into their teacher's apartment, when Freddie steps on the bagpipe it reminded me of Yellow Submarine where George steps on a bagpipe.

And the Simpsons have quite a few things in common with the Beatles, like Flanders' collection of Beatles memorobilia; Paul, George, and Ringo's guest appearances, the actor that played John, etc.

Roseanne has many Beatles references. Like in the one episode, Dan says he was the fifth Beatle. And in another episode, he says, "Get back Loretta" to Roseanne. I know there's others, but I can't remember them right now.

Also, in the show Raising Hope, the one character says he sung Hope to sleep with a "medley of slow Beatles songs".

On Everybody Loves Raymond, Raymond's mother says, "The Beatles were awful."

Yep! That episode was on last night. Raymond has a few Beatles references. Like the episode where he meets a girl named Michele and says that was the title of a Beatles song. And another where Ray's trying to convince Debra the theme of her birthday party should be English Tea Party mentions playing the Beatles as an incentive.

On the show Drake & Josh, there was one episode that mentioned a Beatles record. I forget the whole story, though, it's been so long since I've seen that show.

I forgot about those! I know I've seen those episodes a few times, and yet I forgot.

On Drake and Josh, Drake receives a copy of Abbey Road that was autographed by all four Beatles. In reality, there was no Abbey Road record autographed by all the Beatles, but one with John Lennon's signature is almost $4,000.

I remember in the movie 50 First Dates, Paul's "Another Day" was played during one scene.

In the relatively new Simpsons episode where Mrs. Krabappel (yes, it's spelled correctly) gets fired because of one of Bart's pranks, Another Day is playing while she gets ready for work. When she's driving to the elementary school she sings along, but then a group of teenagers in the next car say, "Ew, she's listening to old people music!"

Has anyone mentioned yet that Kate Hudson's character in Almost Famous was called Penny Lane?

As much as I dislike That 70s Show, there were occasional Beatles' references. Someone said recently that there were some Beatle songs mentioned and/or possibly played on the show.

(Hope these haven't been mentioned, as I haven't read through all the pages.)
On Roseanne: Roseanne goes with Jackie to see a therapist, and Roseanne tells the therapist that she only came along "to help Eleanor Rigby over there."

And there's also an episode of Roseanne titled, "It Was 20 Years Ago Today."

In a 1964 episode of the Flintstones, a group called the Wayouts hits town. Prior to the Wayouts' meteoric arrival, a Beatlesque group with moppy hair sang, "My broken heart will never mend, oh no, my broken heart will never mend....till you get back with the glue."

In 1965 when the Beau Brummels were parodied on the stone age spoof, several Beatle inspired groups and one Beach Boys inspired group from "Santa Barbrock" were included.

Also in 1965 when Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm sang "Let the Sunshine In," Fred groans when he sees several Beatle mopped groups on television.

The best episode was in 1965 when the Flintstones' neighbors from the hills (spoof on Beverly Hillbillies moan about "bug music" and cannot listen to "She Said Yeah, Yeah, Yeah" by the 4 Insects, no doubt a spoof of the Beatles.

I've been compiling a list of Beatles references on my web site. :) Here are the movie references I've recorded so far (with a little help from my friends):

Almost Famous - Jeff Bebe mentions that when he first bought a Rolling Stone Magazine, the Beatles were on it; Kate Hudson plays a character named 'Penny Lane'

American Beauty - The song played during the credits is a cover of "Because"

Apollo 13 - Jim Lovell's (Tom Hanks) daughter Barbara is upset because of the Beatles' recent breakup, which she blames on Paul: "I'm never coming out! I hate Paul! And no one else can ever play another one of their records again." Her little sister comments, "She's still going on about the stupid Beatles breaking up?" and Barbara yells back, "They're not stupid! You're stupid!"

The Benchwarmers

The Departed
Frank Costello: "Do you know John Lennon?"
Billy Costigan: "Yeah, sure, he was the president before Lincoln."
Costello: "Lennon said, 'I'm an artist. You give me a f---ing tuba, I'll get you something out of it.'"
Costigan: "Well I tell you Mr. Costello, I'd like to squeeze some f---ing money out of it."
Costello: "Smart mouth. Too bad. If you'll indulge me... [...] The point I'm making with John Lennon is - a man could look at anything, and make something out of it. For instance, I look at you and I think, 'what could I use you for?'"

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds" is mentioned in a scene

Ferris Bueller's Day Off Ferris (Matthew Broderick) says, "A person should not believe in an 'ism', he should believe in himself. John Lennon said it on his first solo album. 'I don't believe in Beatles, I just believe in me.' A good point there. After all, he was the walrus. I could be the walrus and I'd still have to bum rides off of people." Ferris lip-synchs to "Twist & Shout" at a parade.

Field of Dreams Ray Kinsella: "The man wrote the best books of his generation. And he was a pioneer of the Civil Rights and the anti-war movement. I mean, he made the cover of Newsweek. He knew everybody. He did everything. And he helped shape his time. I mean, the guy hung out with the Beatles! But in the end, it wasn't enough. What he missed was baseball."

I Am Sam - Beatles references exist throughout the entire movie... Sean Penn plays a character who is obsessed with the Beatles.

Love Actually - "...a boy is telling his dad about how he's in love and wants to get the girl's attention by learning to play the drums. His dad thinks it's a good idea and says something like 'Yeah, Ringo Starr even married a blonde!'
A little later on the boy, who does decide to learn the drums, has 'Ringo Rocks!' written as his eternally changing chalkboard message on his door.
Also, at a wedding, 'All You Need Is Love' is played."
Hugh Grant's character is the president of the UK. He's at a press conference and he says 'We may be a small country, but we're a great one, too. The country of Shakespeare, Churchill, The Beatles, Sean Connery, Harry Potter. David Beckham's right foot. David Beckham's left foot, come to that."

Rain Main - Charlie (Tom Cruise) asks his brother Raymond (Dustin Hoffman) what the song was that he used to sing to him - Raymond starts to sing a portion of "When I Saw Her Standing There." Charlie asks Raymond if they used to sing any other Beatles songs together.

That Thing You Do - various references are made to the Beatles throughout the film; during a performance of the Wonders, the camera focuses on each member one by one, displaying each name on the screen; the subtitle "watch out girls, he's engaged!" for the rhythm guitarist replaces "sorry girls, he's married!" for John. During another one of their performances, the camera pans behind them (looking at the Wonders' backs and the audience's faces), much like the shot used in A Hard Day's Night

Wayne's World - When Wayne and Garth are going to the Gasworks, they have this conversation with the bouncer:
Tiny: "Wayne! How you doin'?"
Wayne: "Hey Tiny, who's playing today?"
Tiny: "Jolly Green Giants and the Shi**y Beatles."
Wayne: "S****y Beatles? Are they any good?"
Tiny: "They suck!"
Wayne: "Then it's not just a clever name."
