I usually like Ringo's remakes of old standards... but not this one

Well, it was from a rather weak album .... Ringo Starr released the song as a single, backed with "Lady Gaye", from his Ringo's Rotogravure album, on 22 November 1976 in the US (reaching number 74 US Pop), and on 26 November in the UK. ..... pretty much a tailspin on the charts! in other words a bomb .... but that album did have the last studio performance of John Lennon till "Double Fantasy" .

Actually, I really like that LP and have often thought that it's underrated... mind you "Hey baby" doesn't help it any...
But, in addition to the ex-fab related tracks "Cookin'", "I'll still love you" and "Pure gold" you also have other good ones like "Las Brisas" and (even better) "This be called a song" and yet another, but which took me years to get to like, "You don't know me at all"
