Default Abbey Road itself - understanding the theme

Abbey Road, the album... Sure it's got a million references... but it's and album with a theme... especially side 2

There certainly was a theme to side 2, almost as they knew it was to be their last hurrah. All the references to business problems and the fact that they were about to be let off the leash of being in the Beatles. The album was like a compromise in itself: Lennon got his side one and McCartney got his medley on side 2. Even Harrison got two of his best songs on their. Here comes the sun is one of my favourites of all time. Me and my wife had it played during our wedding ceremony by these guys. They played so many Beatle songs!!

Pretty sure they didn't want Let it Be to be their swan song too. So they wanted to go out with a bang, which they did.
